Beat Saber is the future. It's a workout, it's fun, it's music, it will have an enormous workshop area (because it already has a very sophisticated modding community), it's fun, it's non-offensive. It's the PERFECT GAME. It is the TETRIS OF VR! This should come bundled with every VR set, this should be required to be installed on your PC BEFORE you are allowed to purchase a VR headset.

THE TETRIS OF THE VR AGE! Mark my words!

What you get is the best VR game currently. The warning about stretching and warming up before playing is sincere.

PS: I nominate Thee as best game of all times.

EDIT: Now, one year and a full release later, my heart rate dropped by 10 bps, my upper body muscles are respectable and my life improved noticably, all due to waving my hands around and cutting up boxes with light sabers. I am in the process of quitting cigarettes and got rid of my back pain. Thank you Beat Saber. Just thank you .

I became addicted to this game.
This is a factory/assembly line/ construction automation game. 1st Person. I like it. I bought it because of Let's Game It Out on Youtube. Since I installed it, I want to continue playing. 2h in I started a new playthrough on the third hardest "difficulty" out of 4, and whenever I look at the clock, another hour is gone without any point of slowdown or boredom. No story, no quests, just a man (me) and his construction zapper, trying to automate more and more stuff.
I am now working on Tier3 equippement (out of 9?) and it gets cramped and complicated. And I still want to go on. Awesome! Recommendations all around, even if it is in Early Access (which it wouldn't need to be).

EDIT #1: 83h in and still no downtime, no boredom, no new map (it has four, I still play the first, and will play the others, too). I have reached the last milestones for this update and am working on aluminium. I streamlined a lot of old stuff. I have dedicated areas for the different basic materials. It feels like real pioneer work, and in my mind, I single handedly lay down the infrastructure for colonizing this new planet. It's still amazing and I want to go on playing, even after 80+h. Buy this game! TOP20 of all time, already.

EDIT#2: So After 150h I "completed" Map 1&2 out of four ... for now. I started map 3 and just now some boredom sets in. Not enough to stop, but enough to consider playing something else. My god this is awesome. And since there will be more updates, I will also return to the first two maps. I'm not a fan of everything radiated, but so far, I don't need to build reactors either. Looking forward to what Mercer Sheres, S.A.M. and the red stuff will do!

EDIT#3: After finishing map 3 and looking at map 4, I noticed, that it is all one map with four different starting positions. Meaning, that you can visit the other quarters of the map, starting at your prefered building site. On the other hand, it doesn't add replayability as much, because the map is fixed, no procedural generation or somesuch. A "random mineral sites" option might make a lot of things more interesting, and might be reasonably easy to implement(?). Satisfactory stays awesome, but now I will pause until the next milestones are coming. I fully await laser tech, and maybe more pets/creatures.

EDIT#4: I completely deconstructed most of map1, rebuilt on a beautiful concrete grid and went to build a nuclear Powerplant. I am done. I did everything. I automated every possible production. And still I think, I could start over on position 2... Quality entertainement in a beautiful and diverse map. I know, I will reach the 300h mark. I might even reach it before the next big update. Also, I need to learn how to use trucks and trains, which I didn't even touch yet.

EDIT#5: I am 355h in, and it took #4 on my longest played games behind Dota2, Skyrim and XCOM2. 100h are just on the last map, and I am nowhere near done with it. This game is quite perfect. I found a few convenience-mods like stacks of 500 for everything and no fall damage, and with the mod manager it is extremly easy to mod the game. This for sure is game of the year for me (depending on Bloodlines2 and Cyberpunk2077).

EDIT#6: So I couldn't wait for release and am now on Update 7 experimental. I am nearing 700h and I started again from zero. The improvements are impecible, it is now more wonderful than ever. Everything is better and more accessible than when I started. I even need less mods now. Game of the Year three times in a row. Although SIGNALIS came close, and Bloodlines 2 didn't come out ...

EDIT 7: Well, 1.0. I finished it. This is a seventy hour game, if you know what you are doing. It is a Thousands of hours game, if you like efficiency, building and "numbers go up". It is base building, exploration, a bit of fighting, and logistics. 1.0 is amazing, they added a lot. The "story" is magnificent and enhances the game, and doesn't drag it down. It is purely on top, and ADA is fun all the way. Recommended without hesitation! Be nice to your Doggos!
