EDIT: I've kept my original hated review of Anno 2205 below. The review was based on the first days of the release (so no DLC's etc). At the moment I've clocked 160 hours on 2205, so obviously something changed for me. I decided to play after a couple of years and a lot of DLC's were released (like the space station, tundra). It's a fun game with all the DLC's enabled and has a (now..) special place for me in the Anno series.

I've played many 100 hours of previous Anno games. People saying "this is the same" can suck ♥♥♥♥. People saying "im new to the series", then don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ talk about "The Anno formula" because you know ♥♥♥♥. If people who played many many hours say "it's dumbed down", listen to it. If you enjoy that, it's fine. If you think Anno 2205 is good enough for you, that's also fine. But don't go spit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

TLDR: Anno 2205 is the tablet version of City Skylines and removes the challenge from it all ( see my screens, see my money and resources and see my other anno game screenshots and progression.. ). The people at BlueByte can really ♥♥♥♥ themselves by sucking Ubisoft's ♥♥♥♥. Everytime you hope people don't .. they do.

now we have to build our own open source anno for the future before the new Anno xxxx gets released on mobile/tablet only and full of microtransactions. BUT BUT BUT "5 times bigger maps", which is also a lie.

Again: GET THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT BLUEBYTE/UBISOFT.
