Intro
As a huge Dungeon Keeper fan i've been following this game for a few years, yet, never wanted to buy it because i didn't think it could reach the fun i had with Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2 but man i was WRONG...

Bought the complete package on sale with a 70% discount.
Installed the game and was ready to play, still a bit sceptical.

The intro is referring to Dungeon Keeper which was very good, after that you can choose to start a tutorial game to somewhat ''freshen'' up your memory or skip it and dive straight into the campaign.


Positive

• The whole atmosphere in general feels alot like Dungeon Keeper.
  
• The Narrator; Richard Ridings at his best.
  
• Runs great.
  
• Humor.
  
• Prioritize area. This will come in handy, especially since your little minions, the ones that dig out your dungeon tend to be distracted quickly, for example they run off right away after digging out a room while it still has to be converted to your dungeon.
  
• Crucible; mode where you fights waves of invaders and have limited time to fortify your
  dungeon. Amazing challenge. ( reaching wave ~80 took me about 2.5 hours )
  
• My Pet Dungeon; mode where you gain points by expanding. Your dungeon, your rules,
  you let enemies come and defeat them for points to advance to the next level.
  
• Sandbox; mode with plenty of space, unlimited gold, nice to try new tactics here.
  
• Working Multiplayer ( requires port forwarding if you're the one hosting )
  
• Mods ( haven't tried yet )
  
• Talent tree so you can choose what you want to focus on.
  
• Possess a minion
  
• IT'S PAYDAY.

Neutral

• The cursor; might be me, but i'm missclicking quite abit.
  
• The map; took me a bit to get used to, it is accurate but design is pretty outdated.
  
• Graphics; I know, i know, games are not about graphics, but still a little bit outdated.
  
• Aggro is not very clear to me, you can rally your minions to a certain spot in your or your enemies dungeon, they're all together but when removing the rally flag sometimes a minions gets aggroed by an enemy while the other was closer, but instead he's returning to whatever he was doing.

Negative

• Might be me but when hosting a game the game starts to freeze for about half a second after several minutes, this gets more severe as the match progress. ( made a ticket on their website about this issue, will update if this gets resolved. )

Good game with minor flaws that can be solved. Singleplayer is good however Multiplayer needs some work in my eyes.

So if you enjoyed Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2 as much as i did then definitly buy this game! Still not convinced ? Go and read some more reviews or look up some gameplay videos, but Brightrock Games did a hell of a good job to revive Dungeon Keeper and it's safe to say that the serie finally has a trilogy
