Gotham Knights has a pretty cool idea-stepping into the shoes of Batman's protégés-but it's executed pretty disappointingly. The open-world Gotham looks nice sometimes, yet feels empty and repetitive, with too many filler missions that get boring fast. Combat can be fun initially but quickly becomes clunky, lacking in smooth flow compared to what you'd expect from a superhero game-particularly when set against the Arkham series.

The story is uneven, with some interesting moments, while others fail to keep you really hooked. It's a game where RPG elements-like gear and levels-are unnecessary and feel grindy, slowing down the entire experience. Lack of polish and poor performance also hurts.

All in all, Gotham Knights isn't a bad game, but it feels like a missed opportunity. Bat-family fans may get some enjoyment out of it, but it falls so short of the superhero game it should have been.
