I enjoyed this. The main mechanic//gimmick is unique and makes for some gorgeous, if non-traditional, scenes. The story is, well... it's serviceable. It's not terrible, but it's nothing unique or deep. It's also presented kinda roughly. I feel like some voice acting could have helped the story feel a bit more engaging. The atmosphere is pretty good, but I'm not sure if the game is managing to be creepy or if it's just experience that I'm bringing with me.

Some people will not be interested in this game. It's a walking simulator. There is absolutely no gameplay other than walking around and using your scanner. If you don't like tourism games, please, don't buy this. You won't have fun.
If you have a pathological need to get as many hours per $ spent as possible, you probably won't like this either. I beat the whole thing in 2.5 hours, and I was playing leisurely. I think it was perfectly fine, a movie-like runtime for about the price of a movie ticket.

Anyway, if this looks interesting to you, I think it's probably worth picking up.

Oh, and I have to mention this. Once you finish the game, you can do a NG+. Something you (can) see early on in NG+ made me actually start a regular new game to see if it was there originally. It was, and it's a really cool touch. A+ on the subtlety, guys.
