Short and simple: the game is very very good. Nearly a 10/10 for me.

The devs and mods surrounding this game are not. Close to a 2/10 for me.

In summary: Great game, needs some bug fixes and AI work (dev constantly updates), lots of customization, variety of gameplay, none of the bugs are game breaking, it's worth the money, if you think it's not, keep a close eye on the updates and overhauls, over time, you'll change your mind.

Do not let some of these reviews fool you, this is a great game with a lot of ambition and the developer, yes, the single developer without a team is regularly updating this game and actively listening to feedback. There's plenty of customization. You have 12 fully customizable squad members with varying gadgets from recon drones to K-9 handlers. It comes with a great battle planner and an ability to switch between squad mates mid game. There's about 8-10 maps right now with 4 main game modes that all have additional/optional challenges you can add on. This game is doing A LOT of things right. The bad side of it though? Honestly, mostly what you'll expect in a game this early access (but again, constantly being improved and worked on.) Slightly clunky gameplay, AI bugs out sometimes, the guns bug out a bit, but none of it is game breaking. It's immersion breaking, but if you can look past that and deal with it for right now, it's a great $20 well spent. The pathfinding for the AI can be irritating at times, but it's not game breaking. For all the great things this game offers I have absolutely no problem with the negative right now. If you like the old rainbow six games and you like tactical shooters, give this game a chance. I've heard the developer history is sketch, but I'm not getting into that as I don't know much about it. The roadmap has great things in store as well. The graphics are good as well. At time of posting I have 3 hours on record, but that's about to go up right now as I load the game up after posting this.

I would be in support of a patreon or supporter's edition for this game as it is a single developer as far as I know. Maybe give some aesthetics as a reward or what not.

I don't review games very often, but these developers listen and constantly put out updates and bug fixes/patches.

Outside of nitpicking and my own personal preferences that I feel would be unfair to ask for, I don't really have anything bad to say about the game. The bad things I did have to say about, have been, or plan to be fixed. The developers care about this game and you can really tell. I play strictly single player as of right now, but with Co-op, I guarantee this would be a way better experience already.

Gun play is great, graphics are solid, audio is good, again, I don't have really any bad things to say about this game. However, I would like to be able to customize my squads' weapons. (You can customize their loadout, but in terms of actually picking attachments on the weapon, it would be nice. I would prefer all silencers on the squad, I don't know if there's something I'm missing and you are able to do that.)

EDIT: I would like more map variety as well, I am unsure if more maps will be added at all or even as DLC. School map, hospital, department/grocery store, maybe a rec center, also I did see someone mention 'scenarios' which would be cool. I.E; stand off on a high way, maybe a shoot out after an undercover cop's cover is broken and they need to escape etc.

Overall, 10/10 for me. I love the game, I love how it's not an arcade-like run and gun. You have to be wary of traps, enemies behind doors, etc. It's hard for me to rate this lower than what it is especially with all the updates and patches coming from the developers.

Firstly, I'm a big fan of boxing and managerial games and I think this game nails it mostly. I enjoy the fight animations, the UI is pleasing to the eye and not difficult to use. I'm also really thankful they included the ability to customize the database and use other people's as well, that's a brilliant touch to the game especially at release. Also, being able to start in the amateurs is amazing and something I don't see common in boxing/mma manager games. Glove/trunk/boot/headgear color customization is available as well which was surprising but great to me as well.

As for the negatives, I wish there was a detailed stat card that showed up after each round/after the fight. How many jabs were thrown/landed, same for every punch, how many knockdowns, accuracy, etc. I also had a slight glitch where my fighters showed up as different models each fight, which effected immersion, but was kind of funny in a way. I had a character who's main style was a swarmer, but constantly backed up and countered instead (I don't know if this has something to do with their starting stats or if that's just a weird bug? Intensity was also at 100%.) When customizing a database, being able to customize the character model would be nice. Please add a speed up ability when watching the fight play out. I enjoy watching the fights, but it does get tedious to sit through each round. Granted, you can sim it.

I have low time currently, but this will go up as I just exited my work week and I plan to be on this a lot more this weekend. As of time of rating, I give the game an 8/10 (bias could play a role here but I don't think it does). I do recommend, but I do think it's a tad overpriced after the launch discount ends. I don't think the price will drop, so pick it up while it's on sale if you plan to or wait it out for another sale.

(also more steam workshop support than just basic database building would be lovely. colorways, gear/gym designs/customizations etc.)

the knockdowns/knockouts are also extremely fun to watch. Had a guy collapse into the ropes face down. 10/10
