I'm going to come out front and say this: Strike Vector lacks polish.

If you can look past that, though, you'll find a really brilliant, original game, well worth your 25$. I can't put it down. The only thing I would bemoan are the somewhat low playercounts at non-peak times, but that's only because I work at night and nobody plays videogames at noon on weekdays.

Overall, a good 8/10. If the promised patches and free content drops fix polish issues and add new features, gamemodes and maps, this game has the potential to climb to an easy 9.5/10, or even hit a perfect for me. The core gameplay is so tight and satisfying, all it needs is a little bit of elbow grease to bring it around to being perfect.

Video games are forever changed by this masterwork. The struggles of Jake Conway as he rocks back and forth like an autistic infant in front of the television as the intro to One by Metallica plays really hammers home the difficulties of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. As Jake empties 18+ .44 magnum rounds into the faces of enemies who just stand there and shoot back, you understand how the world's unflinching nature is hostile to those who have served.

All joking aside, it's actually ♥♥♥♥. Don't touch it with a 10 foot pole, and don't dare spend money on this abomination.

SO:TL is a very strange beast, and one which you should go into as blind as possible.

All i'm going to say is that you will hate yourself at the end of this game. Spec Ops has made me experience emotions i've never experienced in gaming before, for better or worse. Disgust. Shame.

I had to turn it off once or twice becuase some scenes prevented me from carrying on.

A unique experience, and while it doesn't deliver on everything everyone says it does all the time, still worth a buy.

EW completely revitalized XCOM for me. The presence of MELD completely changes the approach you have to take when you go on missions, as well as giving you a wealth of tactical options with the MEC units and gene mods.

The best part though, by far, is being able to dress up the entirety of your badass alien hunting squad in hot pink for every mission.
