So I've been seeing a lot of weirdly negative reviews for this amazing game and I figured I'd change my meme review into an actual game review.

So what is Crush Crush? I'm honestly glad you asked. You see Crush Crush is this wonderful little clicker game designed lovingly and with plenty of heart by the company known as Sad Panda Studios. They're all wonderful people and create great content, great games, and most importantly best girls. Do I think they're perfect? Yes. But also I got a heart from them for my TF2 Pamu Halloween outfit on their patreon so I might be heavily bias. All this aside, the important part I want everyone to know when coming into this game is to realize that the developers behind this game are really great people and make really fun games.

So as for the game itself: I played this game a few months after it came out completely by chance and honest? To be 100% honest? Totally truthful? I played it as a joke on stream for a few friends. I was like "haha check it out, waifu clicker game?" unaware that I was about to stumble upon a lovely game I would enjoy the hell out of with said friends for years to come.

It's nothing technically impressive, in fact it's rather average for your clicker game. That's not bad though, how can you improve the clicker genre anyhow? So what's the pull in this game? It's the girls. Plain and simple. The girls, the dialogue, the voices, the excitement you get when you get a new girl, the dreadful feeling of knowing you need to reset your progress because you can't get enough money to romance the bear. Stuff like that. The game is chalk full of cliche anime tropes, but they work together so well that it really doesn't matter. In fact it makes the game much better as a result. Classic tsundere is classic tsundere, gamer girl is gamer girl, bear is bear. There is no need to complicate things because this isn't a game you're supposed to have deep conversations about with friends unless you want to write a 10 page thesis on why Pamu is best girl.

Gameplay wise as I said earlier it's nothing special. You click to flirt, you buy gifts, level up hobbies, and do jobs all while managing timeslots you get. Surprisingly enough, it's actually not that hard to make progress! If you're ok with simply taking 10 mins out of your day to do some things in the game you make progress plenty fast. This is aside from soft resets which require a bit of setup once done, but that feeling of rushing through to get back to where you started? Really fun, 10/10. Of course the game will always incentivize you to buy diamonds and use them, it's a free to play idle clicker game so why wouldn't they want to make some money. I think what's interesting about this game though is that I never felt the need to buy diamonds to progress the game. There's a few reasons for that, but mainly it comes down to they give you enough diamonds to invest in multipliers that unlock more girls and more diamonds to get more multipliers etc etc. It's very much up to you if you want outfits for your girls with those diamonds or more progress, and I think that's an incredibly fair trade off all things considered.

You may be asking "why do I keep saying good things about this game followed up by negative things to counter it?" It's mainly because the game isn't perfect despite all biases I may have about the game. The times to get items and money can be silly, the hobbies can be bothersome to level up, the game won't let me buy more than 10k gifts at a time despite needing 100k gifts for this girl. It's frustrating and annoying! But you know what? I don't really mind. They're problems, but they've never been problems that ruined my enjoyment of the game.

To address some of the recent criticism I've seen though, a lot of people are angry about daily events and the ending of the game. First off, the daily events thing is fine. It's completely totally fine. You check in, you log off, maybe set a reminder for tomorrow, and then rinse and repeat for free content. I think a lot of people don't seem to understand that point. It's free content they've giving away to people who enjoy the game enough to finish a 14 day log in event. Take a few minutes out of your day and get your free ♥♥♥♥. That's really all there is to it. If you don't like that then I highly suggest avoiding this game because you'll be needing to log in daily to make progress anyhow.

Second, and weirdly enough this is spoiler territory in an idle clicker game so it's up to you if you care enough, the ending of the game. It's fine, completely fine. It wraps things up well and puts a pin in things quite nicely. I'm not sure exactly what other people were expecting? It's this big build up through the entire game that you get to watch unfold and you become trained in the art of sex to ♥♥♥♥ a goddess and become the savior of mankind. What exactly isn't there to love? I think the only real problem I have with it is that it locks out one of the most beautiful and well drawn girls in the series, Q-Pernikiss, if you decide to not reset the game. Now technically you can keep her around if you never finish the game, but I believe she is too good to not finish. Please bring her back to me. I mean of course Pamu is best girl, but bring back QP I beg you.

Overall this game gets a 10/10. I gave this game money not because I wanted anime boobs but because I really wanted to support these wonderful devs and see what they have to offer in the future. The boobs were a bonus.
