the first game in this series was great.
not the second time around.

in all honesty, the second game is actually better than the first, but it did not meet the expectations of the community.
HB was handcuffed by Maximum Games after they made a partnership.

If you want to play a good golf game, just wait until TGC3 is released.

Fun game, easy to learn, but hard to master. + points for the fact that i have never seen a cheater in this game, thats pretty impressive after 650+ hours of playing.
+ more points for decent updates over time.

the only negative i can think of is a good chunk of the playerbase are total D's.

Great game and concept, but i just cant recommend this game to anyone currently.
By far the most hackfest game i have ever played, and the lack of region/ping lock creates just as big of a problem, for all regions as the players from china are the ones invading all the servers and doing the most hacking/cheating. there is an avearge of 6 or so cheaters on every server, every game. in a game where you only get 1 life, facing constant cheaters and players with 600 pings is not my idea of fun. most of the time spent in this game was before the final release, but i cant see myself playing much more if these problems are not resolved. so until then, i stongly urge anyone reading this not to buy the game.

tried it, my first game, was teammates killing teammates over and over, didnt understand why.

its a poker game!

i can't give this a negative rating because it works and does what it was meant to do, ...
however...

there are some things i did not like. there are no options to adjust screen resolution, so on my 4k monitor this looks rather pixelated since its getting stretched. the options panel in general is rather weak. only one master volume slider so if you hate the default music, good luck hearing the rest of the game.

its poker, free poker if you choose not to pay, or paid poker with no real cash prizes if you do choose to pay for extra chips. its the same principle as all the other free poker games.

somebody needs to come up with a new thing when it comes to free poker, using the same ol template thats been around for a while now...well, is just not refreshing.

no course forge yet? game play sucks, game is only worth it with a course designer, and no course designer yet.

The Golf Club is a fantastic game!

HB Studios has nailed down a solid simulation. What really brings out the glory of this title is the Greg Norman Course Design feature. Creating your own courses is quite enjoyable. Whether its for yourself with a local track, or its for the masses as a famous track or just something strait from your imagination.

The GNCD offers many different themes to choose from when starting out your course, and they keep adding new themes in on a regular basis, along with sew tools and "stuff" to use while creating your magic. The good news here is, the themes just keep getting better and better than the last, it seems the dev team is really taking note on the feedback from the community on what people want and like.

Overall, I have been playing since day 1 of open beta, and after 1500 hours of game play time, I still enjoy and look forward to playing TGC. I really hope they do a TGC 2 down the line.
