So good! and the art style and music really help compliment the gameplay. gets even better when you replay the levels and when you know how to time your jumps and disarms, Time Trials are very challenging and offer plenty of replayability. You really feel like one with the character.

3 words : Get the Original

It blows my mind people are recommending this, The physics are broken, no gibs, the hit detection is somehow worse and some guns shoot way too slow compared to the original, and the servers are dead, It doesn't support mods too, the original has like thousands of mods.

Good level design, and great soundtrack, the level became way too difficult on the last portion, even on medium skill setting, but other than that it was a Solid and fun Half-Life experience, recommended.

Early Access Review
Repetitive, all you do is shoot endless waves of enemies over and over, can't recommend it in it's current state.

Amnesia A Machine for Idiots :

* No longer have to worry about lantern running out of oil, good or bad depending on how you look at it.
* Survival elements have been completely butchered, there's no resource management anymore, no lanthanum, no tinderboxes, no lantern oil, nothing.
* Health regeneration in a survival horror game.
* Sanity system has been completely removed, no matter how long you stare at disturbing events, It has no impact on you whatsover and as a result the game doesn't feel anywhere near as immersive as the first game.
* There's no puzzles whatsover, the only puzzles the game requires you to solve ultimately boil down to simply pressing switches and placing nearby objects in their proper locations.
* Less interactivity, the exploration element has been completely removed, most of the doors, lockers ... etc are solid so there's not much to look for, I guess there's no need for it because the game has health regeneration and never running out of lantern oil or whatever this thing runs on anyway.
* There's a section in the first level in the game where you have to go all the way searching for Gasoline to only move a truck blocking your way, Right, I can't just get in the truck (the door was open) instead I had to go all the way looking for gasoline.
* The Monsters AI is super dumb, like The Dark Descent AI wasn't mind blowing but it's just worse here, no matter how long you stare at monsters or turn your light on them they just won't notice you.
* The Monsters don't do much damage and can be easily avoided, and even if you fail to avoid them, It doesn't matter because you got Health Regeneration and no Sanity on your side, and they won't kill you very quickly anyways, removing any sense of tension the game might've had.
* The color scheme makes my eyes bleed, and the lower gamma just doesn't help, I like the whole city setting but there's just not much you can do in it other than walking on straight lines and turning occasionally just to look for an item and go back to your first path.
* The Jumpscares are dumb and can be easily missed if you're not paying enough attention, something quickly passing nearby, and .... That's the most overused type of jumpscare the game has, I don't think there's much others really.
* The storyline is just lame and quickly thrown together, the Main protagonist and antagonist whatever they're called try too hard to leave an impact on player and fail terribly, the game also throws you random notes on your way, and honestly most of them are too long to read, in the first amnesia it was at least tolerable because Daniel would read them for you, and you could truly sense their feelings in their messages that way, but here the protagonist is just a generic unlikable forgettable father, and the plot twist can be seen coming from miles away.

To be fair I really liked few stuff this game did right :
* The atmosphere, the use of environment and ambient sounds is really great and helps giving the game a little sense of horror.
* The whole city setting, It's a shame It is not fully taken advantage of, this could've easily offered decent amount of exploration but instead 85% of things there can't be interacted with.

And that's about it really ....

If you enjoyed the first game and you're coming from there (which I'm sure most of you are anyways) then you'll definitely notice the major downgrade the core game received, and If you're just looking for a walking simulator then I honestly think there's way better walking simulators out there.

* Great gameplay, lots of puzzles to solve and items to look for.
* Resource management, you have to keep an eye on your health, lantern oil and tinder boxes and search the environments for more.
* Amazing dark storyline, the more you progress the more details are revealed.
* Clever immersive horror mechanics such as sanity.
* Well crafted environments with lot of back tracking.
* Great use of ambient sounds to build horror atmosphere.
* Replayability value, Multiple endings, side missions, achievements and Custom stories.
* Creepy monsters, while most of them require the same method to avoid (hiding and not looking at them) there are few exceptions, such as the water monster and the ones that chase you on long hallways filled with obstacles.

A Survival horror game done right, Without overrelying on jumpscares.

The only demo I would gladly spend more than 30 minutes on.

* Can't export more than 1 Animation per .fbx file, exporting each separately basically creates separate models, you can't have Multiple animations on a Single model.
* Uploaded files must be .obj, even then the Material isn't properly applied.

This tool is only useful if you wish to create a Static Mesh, you will have to Re-Rig and Re-Animate it Manually if you wish to have more than 1 Animation, because their web based tool (which is where your models go after you finish working on them) doesn't really allow you to do more than selecting 1 Animation.

Granted it's useful and saves you alot of time if you're not so experienced with 3D Modelling and wish to quickly craft a 3D Character model but the rest of features like Auto Rig and Auto Animate are just useless generally.
