Early Access Review
It's a lot of fun right now, and it's got a lot of promise for the future.

Despite only being one month into Early Access, it's in a very playable state. It's a little rough around the edges for sure, with several WIP features being visible, but it's got great bones and if the dev sticks with it, It'll be one of the greats.

A real hidden gem.

No other VR game - hell, no other *game* has really instilled the brutal sense of survival like this one has.

The way that every gun magazine has to be hand loaded, the way that guns have to be cleaned and maintained. The way that the world is huge and you can only carry so much, requiring you to build little resource caches through the world and mark them on your map.

It's a game that requires preparation, and rewards the player for it.

If you liked Hitman 2016, this game takes that formula and improves on it. It's more of the same, in the best way.

My game of the year for sure.

Prison Boss is super fun!

Your jail cell is always set to be the size of your playspace, so you never have to worry about running into walls! That is waaay more amazing than it sounds - it means you can get fully immersed and completely forget you are in a virtual world, and not have to keep "make sure you are in the middle of your room!" in the back of your head at all times. This also means it's great for playspaces of any size - from a closet to a living room, your cell will be the perfect size to move around in!

The game can be fairly repetitive - it is a crafting simulator, after all - but you unlock new furniture to decorate your cell and new prison contraband to craft all the time, which keeps it fresh.

It's very intuitive, and would make a good intro-to-VR game to people who you can't stand around explaining complicated controls to.

Early Access Review
Gorn is, quite possibly, the best VR game ever made. It feels so much fun to hurt people, it's genuinely a bit concerning.

Weapons feel satisfying, enemies explode into clouds of disgusting viscera when you land a good hit. Each weapon reacts differently and satisfyingly in their own way.

Gorn's weapons dont work with the all-too-typical "wrist flick" style of melee combat seen in other VR games - here, weapons are slightly flexible, and collide with everything, meaning you can't just shake your fist to cause massive damage. Enemies telegraph their moves well, and allow for parrying and riposte.

The truth is, the game may be TOO GOOD. It leaves you so immersed it may actually be DANGEROUS to play. Logically, you know there is a wall 3 feet in front of you, but your brain is saying:

"No, it's safe, trust me! How could there possibly be a wall there, you are in the middle of an open arena!"

"Now punch as hard as possible right into your TV!"

I loved this game, but the developers have broken my heart.

I cannot support such downright scummy, hypocritical developers.

This review stays until a public apology is issued.

Why is the developer putting out paid expansion packs for a game in early access? Finish the game we paid for before asking for more money!
