Now landsmen all, whoever you may be,
If you want to rise to the top of the tree,
If your soul isn't fettered to an office stool,
Be careful to be guided by this golden rule —
Stick close to your desks and never go to sea,
And you all may be rulers of the Queen's Navee!

OK. I'm a Linux Gamer, and in any review I'll mention how well the game ran on my system, if the port was done well or not. The odd time I play a game that runs only in Windows (Usually a friend would have to buy that game for me... and if you don't play a game a friend bought you, you are a dick, so I play.) I'm not going to leave a good review.

Why leave a bad review? Because Microsoft is actively trying to turn PC gaming into Console gaming (UWP!!), and in this day and age of cross-platform gaming engines, gaming companies should realize that the MS monopoly will eventually bite them in the ass too. The whole reason you think Windows is a good OS for gaming is because MS made sure that no one else would ever be able to compete with them by locking them into DirectX, a closed API they control.

Unless you want games with no mods, no customization, and to be buying your games through Windows Store and no alternatives to MS ever, you should support this idea even if Linux isn't your thing personally because YOU BENEFIT from an environment with competition.

Competition benefits everyone, whatever platform you use. Notice how whenever Google Fiber moves into a new city, the previously bad internet providers suddenly offer competitive rates and speeds? Software works the exact same way.

Double Fine is the worst developer in Steam. They take your money, make half a game, then just up and leave. DF-9 was potentially a fun game, but it never got more than half done.

Don't buy this or any game from Double Fine.

Oh geez, I actually got the game working properly in Linux so I stopped using native2proton. I don't think I had to do anything at all outside of just using native2proton normally. Its pretty straight forward, you just download native2proton from its git, run it, put in the game id (239140) and following the instructions that n2p gives you from there.

I saw you got Dying Lite to work on linux with proton using Native2Proton. Any chance you could assist me with getting that to work? or perhaps what steps you took to install it?

Thank you.
