A complex and multilayered tale that feels like the next evolution of the FMV gameplay style the director established with Her Story. The writing is solid, the cast is generally fantastic, and the video production overall is polished and very well executed.

On the gameplay/technical end, there are some great new features, such as an in-game notepad, and having multiple characters present helps gives the story a bit more depth this time. On the other hand, not being able to instantly go back to the beginning of a clip (word searches take you right to their mentions this time) is a little clunky and potentially annoying, but I sort of understand the stylistic reasons for it-- being forced to scrub through video often means something new and interesting will catch your eye during a rewind, which is pretty cool.

As with Her Story, you'll want to dive into this one as blind as possible, and with that, I'll end this brief review here. Well worth playing if you like intriguing tales.
