Early Access Review
What I assume is a starter version is up for grabs until the 18th of June... give it a go... the formula has been tweaked some but it's still feels pretty quakey and that's a good thing. You got to try it out if you are a fan of arena shooter genre.

You get 2 starting 'champs' plus theres always one that's on the free rotation for a total of at least three. Also you get 200k shards or whatever it is and you just have to earn 50k more (i got 1.5k form my first match and it was a breezy afair) to unlock a champ of your choice (like the doomguy and or that wolfenstein fella). The rest is just cosmetic addons from what I can tell. Basically the standard fare for FTP shooters.

Yeah love playing the game in short spurts. Too much gets too intense to be honest... getting old :)

You used to be able to rent them for 24H. But they changed it into a weekly free rotation champion and you no longer rent them you buy them.

well the free rotation ones... I think someone said you can rent them to but I don't know how to do that. You can easily get another one for free with the starting credits they give you after two dozen games or so.

Your 2 starter dudes are just fine though. The difference between the champs isn't as pronounced as in other class shooters. You get access to all the same weapons only difference is a class ability and passive. For instance Quake guy has this bomb thing he throws out that he can teleport to and he only takes 25% damage from his own rocket launcher fire so he can use it to rocket jump to places more liberally than the other characters..

I'ts quakey enough to be worth giving a go if you're a quake fan.
