Confirming that they're scammers, after a while of sending items they tell you to hand them your Steam username and password / send a screenshot of your account details / add $150-200 and buy stuff etc. I suggest you NOT to do any of this whatsoever and make sure your account is protected. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but a friend of mine was hacked by one of the self-lock bots after he unfriended the "item checker" scammer.
