Tamagoneko is a hardcore precision platformer developed by a Russian studio GDFET. In this game, players control a cat that consumes fruits and is on his way to rescue his “cat eggs” (whatever that means) while navigating through various obstacles encountered along the way. The gameplay is straightforward: players move, jump, collect desired items, such as coins and fruits, and try to avoid lethal elements. However, for me the main challenge lies in the difficult timing required for jumps and movements due to somewhat slippery physics, as if someone’s poured oil all over the ground.

The game boasts appealing pixel-art visuals, although the readability of the UI font can occasionally pose a slight difficulty as dialogues and especially the credits are sometimes hard to make out. Unlike some other games of the same genre, Tamagoneko manages to deliver a hardcore experience without becoming overly frustrating. Additionally, its use of the free (as in freedom) GODOT Game Engine adds to its appeal and contributes to the engine’s already impressive showcase of titles.

To enhance the overall experience, minor adjustments to the UI/HUD and gameplay could be beneficial. Improving font readability, introducing a sprinting/walking indicator, and refining movement precision for more accurate calculations (given the precise nature of the platformer) would greatly benefit less experienced players. With these improvements, Tamagoneko has the potential to evolve into a more enjoyable indie platformer game.

Ehh... It's not a bad game per se, but I liked Doom 2016 more. This one feels like it's some cross between a mindless arcade shooter and Super Mario 64. Also it sucks you need to use the chainsaw so frequently because the ammo is scarce. Never had that problem in D16.

Classic Ubisoft treating their customers like what Ubisoft actually is.

Purchases made in this region will only receive the Russian, simplified Chinese and English (Audio only) languages.

Would you buy a car if its manufacturer decided to remove the trunk just because you live in a country the manufacturer seems to hate for no apparent reason, even if you have absolutely zero relation to the policy of the said country? Very unlikely unless you have no respect for yourself.

I wouldn't recommend buying this, thanks to the free weekend I have no doubt this unoptimized piece of trash is not worth 59,99€ 44,99€.

You'll probably ask what will you get for this price anyway? Lags, stutters even in cutscenes, 60GB of space wasted on your disk and an interesting concept.
