I've been playing Civilization since the original. Have loved almost all games in the series (with a few exceptions), and this is the first time where I ended up dropping a Civ game early in the cycle. Not only the UI ias bad and bland (and I do consider it highly because it's the main way the player interfaces with the game), but the mechanics are just not fun. The Era reset is a big turn off, and the game feels like a railroad track - there's a very specific way to play and I don't have time to research all the permutations in the web. I was looking for a sandbox where I can came up with my own stories as I play through. Gone are those days, and now it's about min/maxing. Disappointing direction, disappointing game, disappointing UI. Save your money and wait for a big sale.

DLC with stupid prices. Game is OK but still buggy in quite a few areas, but the price of the extras is just outrageous. Avoid and get it only at a heavily-discounted sale.

Update includes mandatory Denuvo install. It's a known intrusive malware-like process in the system. Game is dead to me, after 9h. Not going to put up with this garbage for a SP-focused game.
