Beware: The game installs the Playstation PC SDK/PSPC SDK Runtime on the first launch without any pop-up or option to decline. The game works fine without it it shows an error message on startup, but you can ignore it. This software is only used for data collection. Thanks, Sony.

How to uninstall the crap software:

Open the Control Panel.
Click on "Uninstall a program."
Search for "Playstation PC SDK" and uninstall it.
Go to the game folder and delete the following files:
"PsPcSdkRuntimeInstaller.msi"
"PsPcSdkRuntimeManager.msi"
"install_pspc_sdk_runtime.bat"
Now you can enjoy the game without Sonys crap software. As a bonus, you might notice a slight performance boost.(For me, I gained 5 FPS and the game runs more stable overall.)

Edit: When you uninstall the software, the achievements don't work anymore. It's not a big deal for me. Thanks to the users who commented on this review

Edit2: the achievements works now without the crap software for me Apparently a general bug in the game. There are only 9,000 left to fix.

This sdk is used for all of Sony's pc ports. Try running sfc /scannow and watch it find corrupt files that can't be fixed without using DISM with the media creation tool only. That happens even when you uninstall the sdk using windows 11 remove apps. Total trash, there is no way that these files are only an sdk, they would have to be a root kit to cause these issues.

People talking like saying what the software is for is fearmongering when all you did was say: "game installs this on pc, it does this thing that is unnecessary for gameplay so you can delete it, it doesn't need to be there and serves no benefit to your experience, deleting helps performance, here's how".

you can decline the data when you start the game what do you mean lol and also if you need to delete stuff for a boost in performance get a better build lol im running 144 fps with no issues on max settings and ray tracing with a 4070 ti super lmao
