That’s because to my knowledge the only in-game place where it’s mentioned on how to do it is on a poster next to the door off of the Ferry of the Damned, and even then I forget if it actually tells you *how* to scuttle your ship, just that you can.

I do recall that it’s phrased in an outright insulting way, though. Something to the effect of,

”Sick of Reapers sinking your ship? Then just choose to scuttle! Your ship will sink and be respawned somewhere else on the map. Then when you next visit the Ferryman you’ll be able to go right to it!”

I.e., “sick of losing all your stuff to Reapers? Well if YOU sink your ship and drown yourself then technically they didn’t do it and the stuff they pick out of the ocean will just be, technically, flotsam rather than your stuff!”

It reminds me of advice on how to not get killed by a polar bear if one attacks you: shoot yourself. Technically the bear didn’t kill you! But, y’know, you’re still dead and the bear is still eating you and there’s really no practical difference.

It’s not actual help because the result doesn’t change. Maybe if scuttling at least also destroyed a portion of your treasure or your emissary flag or something.

That explains why I didn't know it. It gives you an option that says something along the lines of "Pirates giving you trouble?" I assumed it'd give me some benefit or turn me offline, so I chose no and moved on.

I want the PvP, I just don't want the toxicity and grief. The community is the problem, not the game, etc. Private servers will fix the issue, but then that splits the community, meaning even less new players.

I tried doing everything and still found myself, surprise surprise, a new player stuck in an overwhemingly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ situation, my ship didn't sink either, they made sure of that. Hard to get your ship moving to sink it to begin with when, in that long hour, I essentially didn't own it.

Good of you to show your true colors btw. I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of the many players waiting to ruin a new players day. Have fun when you run out of them, be sure not to "cry about it"

You should've fought better. That or if you were being spawncamped you can
**SCUTTLE** your ship.
After you scuttle your ship you can then spawn on your ship in a location far from the conflict and in relative safety.

I repeat myself

"Cry about it"

I don't think you seem to get the idea of "new player"

Now, while you might have enough time to waste that you're immediately a pro upon the first few hours of every game, I think you might find you're the outlier there. Which would certainly explain your elitist attitude and your catchy phrase.

So no, I shouldn't nor couldn't fight better, comes with the territory of a new game I'm afraid. Thanks for the scuttle tip though, the game seemed to completely blank it and not mention it once, funny that, seems strange you'd know about that option, fight to the death and all that right? Maybe we both need to fight better.

When can we expect your TED talk?

I don't do TED Talks - I share my knowledge freely.
You were trying to "get out of the situation" means you were "running away" instead of "fighting to the bitter death"
Thats why you sunk. Cry about it.

Probably the funnest thing atm about this game, is water manipulation and vertical building. That being said however they feel as though they're missing stuff. The map creation is also pretty interesting, there's a ton of interesting ways you can ruin your life.

It's pretty damn good for what it is, but please don't forget that it's very very early access, more than playable sure, but you run out of content fairly quickly. If not now, definitely check it out further down the line.

I'd be all for it to be honest, but the griefing has to stop. It's the community, not the game and sure, the game could do a lot to help it, but that's only going to apply a bandaid. Community has gotta shape up first, before there's no more new players.

I like how people are comparing scalped GPU prices vs the RRP of the PS5.

You can't make this ♥♥♥♥ up. Fun fact, you still can't buy PS5's in a ton of places.

Pretty sure they only f'd up Dishonored 2, dunno about the spin off. But Prey, Dishonored and Dark Messiah all released perfectly fine.

Again, they don't have infinite tacos, not to mention you can still buy one, not to mention they repeat the "event", not to mention why would you eat there?

DRG does repeat the event every year, and every one there get the exclusive hat for being a part of the DRG family during that time. If an infantry unit gets an award for bravery in combat, the members that join that unit after that don't automatically get that award too.

And I probably wouldn't eat there, but because I'm a vegetarian, not because I couldn't get the hat I wanted.
It's the same hat each time? No differences?

Not part of the purchase. They didn't get the hat because they bought the game at X time, they got the hat because they played the game at X time. If they happen to buy it during the event then good for them, but it's a reward for playing, not purchasing. If that's unacceptable then where do you draw the line? What keeps every cosmetic from being unacceptable because you have to play the game to get them?

Exactly. If you want your free taco on Taco Tuesday, you have to be present at the restaurant to get it. They don't seek out everyone that ever ate there to give them the free taco they missed.

Same deal, it's not included; it's a special reward for being there during the anniversary.

How can a cosmetic ever be special or a reward if everyone gets it?

Besides, again, it's a silly party hat; it's not even something you'd wear except ironically.

To be fair, if you bought the game on the exact date of the anniversary, which is something I originally did with the Xbox version, it's unavoidable and essentially directly included in the purchase.

I didn't support the game before, I didn't earn it, I was just given it. Apparently a guy who bought the game a week later doesn't deserve it, no matter what.

I'm not sure what's hard to understand about wanting games to have content parity. I buy the game, I get the game, the game is the same game as everyone else got when they paid the same money. Which isn't the case here.

Any questions I guess?
That is the case here. You buy DRG, you get the same streamerless DRG as everyone else paid for.

Thanks, hopefully it'll just end here. I'll update if I get a response from the devs about the content creator DLC after making some videos, I imagine it'll be interesting for a couple people here.

Oh and apologies if I offended any one, genuinely didn't mean to.

I'll give you three guesses whether you or the game is going to change first; and the first two don't count.
Oh I don't expect the game to change, I don't expect the developers to make the content available.

If a miracle does happen, the community will fight it and the majority vote will win. The content will 99.9% stay exclusive to the few, leaving the game incomplete for most.

Just a guess of course, gotta state that before someone responds with a classic quote.

All I wanted to do was throw in my small hat, that it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Weirdly blew up.

You weren't there for the anniversary, you don't get the skin; simple.

That's literally what makes it an anniversary skin.

Again if you want that armor go and stream the game or upload youtube movie about game. Nothing hold you from that. If you dont work for it then you cant earn it, very simple. Again youthink everything can be earned by money, you realy prove that.
Again again I'm going to. My assumption is I'll lack an audience and nothing will happen, no matter how hard I work on it. It's a win-win for me either way. I've mentioned this before. Also, I have never mentioned wanting to buy the DLC, just that it was accessible to everyone. If I make a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥ video and instantly get the skin, then I will absolutely consider that accessible for everyone.

That won't happen though, I'd put money on it.

You have 20 hours played, which means I'm going to assume you haven't earned the level 100 exclusive gear.

The average DRG players spends 30 hours overall playing the game. That level 100 gear is as unreachable to the average player as the streamer/Youtube armor is to you.

Do you find the level 100 exclusive gear to be unfair, and if so; what makes it different from any other cosmetic that the vast majority of players will never earn?
Everyone has time, not everyone has a silver tongue.
One costs £25, another costs at least £100.
The game can have a low difficulty, content creation is pretty damn difficult.
Level 100 gear generally has no extra steps involved other than... well, playing the game. Crazy, I know, Imagine that.

Also, I moved from Xbox, still wasn't level 100 but I'd say my general hours reach 60 altogether when combined with Steam. I can link my profile if needed.

With your no limit of virtual item logic every game should be free as you can copy them infinite times.
Nothing to re-read about your comment slower or faster. Your problem with these items is just silly.
