Very glad they were able to accommodate requests for that, super helpful for accessibility!

In topic Update on Jan 19?
Super glad to see that they have more coming for us! I wonder if they were able to resolve the issues with the 3rd person reload animations after all. Maybe a few extra options for the launcher?? Or achievements and cards... looking forward to the 19th!

Not too super bothered by the lack of achievements, though I realize that's something a lot of people do enjoy, but a resolution option would have been great. Even better if they would be able to figure out display vs render resolution so the game can be easily downsampled for the few IQ benefits it would give.

+1 for lossless!!

In topic How to revive characters?
You have to find their heads where that character died while playing as Garcian. His ability allows you to revive them with a super short minigame.

In topic Antimatter Housing
I've got a friend who is currently stuck with this. I've tried running them through every suggestion here and they still can't craft the antimatter housing. No amount of switching quests or reloading saves or changing planets seems to do anything.

You have to un-pin the old steam shortcut on your taskbar and pin the new one. After that, it will function exactly how it did before.

It doesn't turn out too badly when rendered through Dolphin[deadendthrills.com], and the rest of the game cleans up so nicely that it somehow doesn't stick out too much.

You are seeing screenshots of GC version because there is none to look at remaster one for now. If they had new stuff to show, they'd show it, right? Wait till winter of 2018, then complain.

Makes the announcement feel very premature when they're using screenshots I saw in EGM back in the early 00s. I'm excited, but having proper promotional materials is very important when putting up your store page as poor screenshots can quickly turn potential customers away from your port.

Some interesting news however, is that it appears as though Durante has a copy of the game already in his library. That's not confirmation that he's working on it, but I'd take it as a positive sign!

Seems like the saves remain intact in the slot they were saved to initially, though the save menu has a fancier look now.

In topic KRZ wiki
The Discord invite link seems to have expired? Otherwise, love the theme for the whole of the website, not just the wiki! Will be great to have on hand to send to friends when they play through after Act V comes out, as i'm sure it's going to be pretty overwhelming to play through it all at once. It's also nice to have a wiki that isn't hosted on wikia, honestly. Will make some contributions sometime!

Be sure to play the intermission and watch the new video up on WEVP-TV[www.wevp.tv], as the intermission focuses around the production staff at the station, while the video is of the actual broadcast signal sent out that night.

We finally got to see our ghost in the signal, along with a few other ghosts. Or, at least, how they became so. Some additional context is provided for the Aunt Connie PSAs, and the tragic end of the 'out-of-towner', but it does make me wonder about the previous theories that said person was Conway. I'm a bit tired today, so I might come back to this later with a more detailed post on my thoughts, but we'll see! Saturn's in retrograde, after all.

I noticed JAST USA responded to a question on Twitter saying that the translation was 100% complete, but as far as I've found they have yet to announce anything.

Unfortunately, still no news on MOABD, but you can see a WIP render of his submission for the Unity Neon Challenge here![connect.unity.com]. The submission deadline was the 16th, so work on MOABD should resume shortly.

Figured I'd give everyone checking here an update, but XRA has admitted there is "No way" to get MOABD ready before the end of the year, heard on his development stream from a few nights ago. (Skip to 4:11:00[www.twitch.tv]) As I understand it, he's moved the project to a more recent version of Unity and is taking part in a competition for making a Unity real-time demo, both of which have added more dev time.

2018 it is!
I wouldn't call it the worst? But, there's absolutely something wrong with the game's performance that no amount of community fixes will cure.

The cap is likely Vsync stepping down from 60 to 30 as a result of being unable to keep a steady 60 - though, it's whatever is causing the performance issues in the first place that is responsible.

Turning Vsync off will make the transition between the lower framerate areas and the higher framerate areas smoother, but you'll get a lot of screen tearing without it. Not much can be done about the performance issues for now, until Hello Games potentially addresses the cause.

Actually, they said "sound sync issues". That only covers a small part of what we're talking about here.

We're also talking about volume levels and effects. I actually think some of the effects, like reverb, were added in-engine to the samples by the game during actual gameplay on the Dreamcast and PS2. If you just take the samples directly and play them, they might not sound like they did back in the day.

They seemed to confirm that the weird mixing was also on their radar, going by this post. Can't wait to see if they're able to get the audio to match the original releases!

In topic The new level select screen is awful
I was surprised to see the change back when the PS4 version was released last year, but didn't expect them to change it for the PC release. Of course, I'd love if it was restored to the old screen! It definitely added to the sense of 'entering' a zone.

Free weekend copies I can understand being discounted from the score tally, as those can be easily abused with new accounts. Gift copies, though? Removing those from the average is a heavy handed approach that will only harm smaller devs that have some very passionate fans. Can gift copies of games be generated by the developer at will to flood the economy like keys? That's would be a major difference, which is why I feel excluding gift copies from counting towards the score average is several major steps backwards for developers, while providing only a slight obstruction from less reputable devs who attempt to game the system. If developers can currently pull actual gift copies out of thin air, I'd recommend making those specific copies contain flags that discredits them from the average, as opposed to every gift.
