Despite it being repetitive and the main story not holding even by last decade's standards, I cannot say the game is bad. Yes, of course, it looks somewhat retro in the way a beta of a game would look; and I am sure its production was cut short to release it quicker. It really does feel like a beta release. Things feel raw, story - forced, and added quickly. Does it hold up to modern standards? Absolutely not. Is it fun? It is.

Mostly, this review is positive due to the potential in it, rather than current quality, I admit to it. It is a well-designed semi-detective game akin to, say, Phasmophobia, in a much more stylish environment. The lore is simple, and presented in an easy to comprehend way. I really enjoy the mechanics of hunting for ghost clues to later summon it, and a small puzzle to uncover the type and the weakness of said ghost. It is also holding up as an isometric shooter with a relatively small, but feeling different amount of guns and types of ammo. Not little, not much - just a perfect amount.

A little bit of polish in terms of game design, better story, and maybe updating from some legacy design choices like just four painted portraits, and the game would be just perfect. However, at the moment it does feel like an early release, therefore, buyer: be aware of this. In case you are not into alphas/betas/early releases, think twice before getting the game, it does really feel very, very raw.
