If you're adding me, leave a comment explaining why or I'll deny.
If I've got a game running, I'm playing, not idling.
If I'm playing, I'm not chatting ^^;

Wait, you made it this far? I didn't scare you off yet? Hi there!
The above statements are true, but I may be nicer than that all seems. Maybe.
I have too many games, and too little time to play them.

Action games tend to be my favorite sub-genre. Nearly any type of genre mixed with Action will get me to play it, aside from a few genre's I just don't touch. I have a weak spot for minimalist and first person puzzle games. Metroidvania's tend to be my favorite among favorites.

I really don't like Point & Click games... though a dear friend tried her hardest to get me to like them. Bless her. Strangely, I like HOGs from time to time.

Yes, I'm really in Korea. I'm doing what any native English speaker does in Korea. Find something better to do with your time. :)

Hope that's enough info for now.
I do not trade (except trading cards), so if someone tries to impersonate me... it's a lie ;)

Important Stuff
Who am I?
Just some guy. I intended to travel the world and teach English, but instead I got married and live in South Korea :)

Why do you play games?
Well, some of my earliest memories involve them. I can't remember a time without them. When I was very very young, I remember playing on my Great Aunt's Pong console.

Do you review games?
Sometimes for fun. When I remember. I have to do it immediately after completing a game or else I'll lose track of things. Though sometimes I disagree with people. Just cause it's a well made game, with a good story, doesn't mean I think people should play it, or I'd recommend it. I like to enjoy games, not endlessly analyze the meaning of games and their place in our society. That's what my teaching is for. Gaming is purely for entertainment and downtime.

Sometimes I disagree with the general public. This gets me in trouble sometimes on my reviews. Whatever. I'd rather be honest than add more hype to something I don't think deserves it.

What genre's do you love/hate?
I'm old school. I've always loved a good metroidvania, and a little less platformers.
Adventure games done well are awesome. FPSs are always welcome as are first person puzzlers.
I love Stealth games and have endless amounts of fun trying to stealth EVERYTHING. Every once in awhile I like a well made HOG. I was surprised when I learned this. I never expected to like them. But I do... truth be told I do.

I avoid with a passion almost 99% of P&C's, 4X, Grand Strategy, Tactical, and lately, Visual Novels. Why? I dunno, I just do. Have I played some? Yes. Will I play more in the future? Probably though not many.

Co-Op/Multiplayer?
Depends on the game and if you're even around when I have free time. Being on Korean Standard Time puts me online at weird times. Also, I like to look at things. >_>

Keo I haven't heard from you in forever, what are you doing?
I'm teaching at a University. Cheers! Busy.

Short Version: Whether on sale or not, this game is totally worth it. If you liked Blind Forest, this will continue that love. Honestly, I have to give Will of the Wisps a 10 out of 10. Right now at the time of writing, this is on sale for $10??? BUY IT.

Long Version: There's so much to love about Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Let's dive into it.

Mechanics: The powers you get this time around, are fresh and interesting. They make sense, though you may struggle for a bit to get a hang of some of the powers in the beginning.

Story: Seriously, just a kick in the feels, right from the start. In our last game, Ori got a family. In this game... well, Ori's family goes through some hard times, including some serious loss. The characters experience pain and loss differently, and not just once, but several times. However, this really does wrap up Ori's story very well. I really enjoyed, though I was struggling from time to time, this story. Though I was sad for the one who shunned the light.

New Characters: There are some great new characters in Ori, and some of our old faves. Some of these characters are really well done. Some are just functional, but I really liked some of the bosses and their stories. Not everyone has a happy end.

Controls: Precise and Intuitive. Ori does what you want, when you want. No issues here.

Combat: It's Ori! Combat is seriously fun and well thought out. There are some annoying features when it comes to some enemies, but even on my last play through for a speed run, I figured out some new tricks to make them easier. Experiment, experiment, experiment.

Music & Voice Acting: Ori has brilliant music that seems to match each and every scene perfectly. Fast paced beats with heavy dark tones when you're running for your life to mellow sad notes, that seem to tug at your heart... Whomever composed this really did a great job. The voice cast is small, this isn't a dialogue game, however, there is effort and it fits and is done well.

Graphics: Honestly, I didn't really expect much going into Ori. I mean, we're talking about a side-scrolling metroidvania with our lovable Black and White Hero, Ori. But, boy was I wrong. There is loving detail put into each and every area. The added effects everywhere in the game, will just blow you away. For extra oomph, go into settings and just run everything up to max. Seriously, why would we need max in a game like this? It allows the game to bring the background and extra effects to life. It's pretty amazing. It's no wonder the game won for Outstanding Visual Style.

Achievements: I've got 35 out of 37 and I'm done and lazy at this point. Perhaps I'll go back and get the last two, but just needing a different game at the moment. Most of the achievements are fun and help you enjoy a second play through. Some are annoying in that they push you to be perfect, but some people love that.

Save System: Well that's weird, there are auto-backups which you can access if you need to, so that's helpful and annoying if you're trying to do a flawless run. Knowing which save is actually the save you want can sometimes be hard to tell.

Overall: This game is really amazing. I got it on sale but I would have paid full price had I known what I was getting. It's come out to just around $1/hour and each and every hour were jam packed with entertainment.... Except maybe the speed trials. Seriously though, if you liked Blind Forest, you're probably going to love this. I don't know why some people thought this was worse than Blind Forest. Makes no sense. Though it does put a cap on the story. I spent hours exploring beautiful landscapes brought to life by gorgeous backgrounds and awesome music, all while helping Ori and the Wisps.
