I played quite a bit during the alpha phase, which isn't reflected in my current playtime. As of November 10th 2023, Robocraft 2 is in Early Access. Unfortunately, the game is missing too many basic features, feels extremely clunky, and simply isn't fun in it's current state. Looking at their current roadmap, I think Freejam should have worked on this for at least 6 more months before releasing it in Early Access.

As a long time Battlefield player, I can say this game had a very rough start. I played on release, but the performance and gameplay issues made me put it away for months. The current iteration of the game is much, much better. This is what it should have been on release. Classes were also fixed, and it's starting to feel like a real Battlefield game. The game is finally worth playing, and hopefully EA learned from the disastrous initial release of this game.

I played countless hours of Tribes 2, Tribes: Vengeance, and Tribes: Ascend, so I was really interested in playing Midair. They never really figured out how to market this game, and there were a series of mis-steps like heavilly limiting access to the game in early beta, even for donors (like me), and password protecting the busy servers so the "casuals" couldn't play with the few hardcore players that had access. They had a good concept with many fun elements, but the team failed at marketing and hype. It was a never ending circle of failing to get new players because there were no players.

I wanted to love this game, but every time I logged on to the public servers, it was just me, or (if I was lucky) one other player. As I write this review, literally nobody is playing[steamcharts.com].

I really hope the devs learn from their mistakes when they release the successor to this game, Midair 2.

Tim Schafer -- who worked on The Secret of Monkey Island, Psychonauts, Maniac Mansion (Day of the Tentacle), Grim Fandango, Brutal Legend and more -- has done it again with Broken Age. If you love point and click games, and want to support a small studio, get this game. There are plenty of voice-acting cameos, and the story is fun. Get it!

By far, my favorite FPS. Call of Duty doesn't have anything on this series, and when Battlefield 3 is released, there will be utter chaos. Until then, play BF:BC2 - it's awesome.
