20 Hours played
I was afraid to start my journey with Lara. I was terrified that getting constantly aroused by her would render the game unplayable for me. After reassuring myself I decided to give Tomb Raider a go, and a couple of hours later I couldn't help but <gasp of awe>. I had no troubles with following plot, and I found myself truly engaged by emotionally dense lore. According to my experience, the game plays a little like Prince of Persia or Assassin's Creed franchises. I'm fond of the way it mixes exploration, action and environmental puzzles into some thoughtful, tasteful experience. It may break it's stride at times, but I consider this reboot to be a labour of love nonetheless. I'd only suggest to make sure that you are okay with some gore elements, and then go spend some quality time while befriending all the chickens!

+ it plays like Old Spice commercials
+ collectibles. They always come with a back-story. After all, Lara's an archaeologist.
+ a bad guy admired my accuracy. He's dead now.
+ attention to detail
+ some warm words from Square Enix after completing the game
+ gore elements made me reconsider my life
+ tombs!
+ makes a good use of gamepad rumble
+ softcore stealth sequences
+ documents summaries make them easier to comprehend
+ climbing

- by no means OCD-friendly
- I find camera a bit too shaky at times
- despite the fact that there are no side missions, I wish there was a quest journal
- I wish that the ending had some more punch to it
- surprisingly resources-heavy
