I've also found another issue, but I don't know if there's anything you can do about it. If Steam is "learning about the game", Compare2Steam doesn't identify we own the game, when we do. Example games:

Heya. I enjoy your compare2steam tool/site. Can't log in though. The Steam API isn't working (today/now??) and the log in manuall feature refuses to "find" my name. We need an option to log in or search by steam id # or community url. Thanks.

Yo mate, you fixed that copy thing, but another problem i forgot to mention - on copy you get popup message like - 20 names where copied into your buffer - the text on that popup is WHITE on the WHITE background, not black, so you only can see the text now if you quickly select the popup text.

You broke your compare2steam thing, now when i press COPY on the list of games i own/dont own, it doesnt save names only but the whole table

I noticed something strang... For some reason it seems unable to match "Random Access Murder", even though it should be a perfect match for the name. It suggests the game "Murder" as a Partial Match.

Can you help me with the copying of the lists please? I used to find it very easy with the raw function but now I just don't know how to copy results. I know there is meant to be an auto save to clipboard but every time I click paste on a notepad it just pastes my original list I was comparing which I copied and pasted before the search. How do I copy the results of the comparison please?

@macky I have been experiencing the same issue, the site just gets stuck on loading, but there is no increased usage of RAM for me, well, I have 16GB of ram, so it's not gonna hit the max, but it only takes up 45mb of ram for me

Hi, I've been using compare2steam for 3 months now, so first thanks a lot for the site. Is there a problem for the last few days? When I try to load a profile with a lot of games in the account, it does not load, ram usage gets to 3 gb for the tab and crashes (I have 4 so basically uses all the ram it could find). Before there was no problem with any profile, it only occasionally slowed down a bit with the large ones or long search lists. I would be glad if you could fix this, thanks again.

@cdr There is support to compare a text list to someone else his list. like: compare2steam.com/?steamid=76561198070669208
so change the id and load the page. The nr is displayed for every user in the top right.

Two requests for compare2steam:

* Support SteamID64 for "manually enter" instead of steam handle (as in /profiles/12345678901234567/ rather than /id/abcde/)

* Support URLs for "manually enter"

Also, the general assumption that I only want to compare my steam games to a list is a little flawed, since I often want to compare someone else's games vs a list I have.

@hackwrench: You are running against the problem that is that the data is from the steam-api, if this does not have this game or expansion (it does not yet) it can not find it. Here i cannot do anything, ofcourse the steam search is more powerfull, they have full access to their own db.

I've tried RER2/BHR2 Episode One: Penal Colony found on the "buy" section of the page and Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 1, but only Resident Evil Revelations 2 finds the game by your site. Using Steam site search, Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode One turns up the right game followed by two others. This may be too resource intensive, but you don't know until you ask.
