This game is like wine, it get's better with age. If you told me No Man's Sky was more successful than Elite Dangerous 4-6 years ago I would have had myself a good hearty laugh. Unfortunately for Elite Dangerous, and fortunately for No Man's Sky, the game is slowly but surely becoming an actual contender.

It will compete with star citizen soon enough, even though I am
rooting for both of them to coexist. I hope it wont dwindle the player base, the beauty of the game somewhat reminds me of how I use to feel during the nostalgic days of early minecraft years. New discoveries, new people to meet, new buildings to construct and other's creations to admire.

I'd say it's already a weapon to surpass Metal Gear

so if we wait like 6 more years they will fix the space dog fights and the ground combat issues?

Why do people keep comparing an arcade style space game to simulation space games. It's night and day.

Bro, what? Elite Dangerous and No Mans Sky are enormously different. No Mans Sky has NOTHING on Elite Dangerous's ships controls, NMS ships are still arcadey and uninteresting and NMS isn't as realistic and gritty as Elite Dangerous either. Do not compare two different games just because they're both set in space. This review is genuinely one of the dumbest reviews I've seen yet.

Yes, NMS is a good game (personally I don't enjoy it) and much so if you're into a relaxing, chill experience with lots of grind but beautiful sights. The base building is eh, there's a hard limit to the amount of parts you can build which means you can't make sprawling bases but it's there at least. The adventurous aspect of it is amazing though.

If I could only get past the cartooney graphics.... I tried it and I couldn't make myself play for more than 2h... It's just way too colorful for my taste and the objects are like from a silly cartoon and not a true space exploration game. If E:D had what NMS has, but with E:D graphics, that would've been epic.
