I used FRAPS. You could also try windowed mode which I think the first Dawn of War had but I don't really remember. Google the steps to get windowed mode.

I noticed you have a lets play of Dawn of War 1, which I've been struggling to capture video footage of. Would you mind giving me some tips on how you went about it? So far OBS has been failing to capture anything for me and I'm at a loss. Sorry to bother you, any help would be appreciated!
