Fugue in Void is a self-described artsy game, an interactive experience in which you can explore all kinds of mysterious places.

Sadly this game is as hard to describe as it is to recommend. It took me a little over 30 minutes to complete the entire experience, first 10 minutes of which was a non-interactive “intro”.

The main part of the game plays like a walking simulator with somewhat abrupt scene transitions. Visually the architecture and different environments of the game’s world are certainly interesting but it all ends as soon as you start enjoying this trippy ride.

I appreciate artistic games and I like walking simulators, but Fugue in Void is far from a perfect example of either. I do not regret spending 30 minutes on this game and I would have given it a thumbs up if it was free but given its length and a lack of substance I cannot recommend you actually go and buy it.
