Combat/gameplay is fun; controls are tight and it's challenging without seeming unfair. With each attempt you both become better at the game and upgrade your character so you can survive longer. That combination gives a real sense of progress which is missing from some roguelikes. The game does a good job staying fresh with the combinations of boons (acquirable skills) and rewards in each run.

Like all Supergiant games there is a great story. They've done a particularly amazing job with the voiceovers. There's next to no repetition, each character gets new dialogue as the story progresses, and the Olympians have contextual lines for so many things. Each god and character is unique, well-characterised and has depth, all of which makes the world seem much more lived-in than some of their previous games.

I have experienced 0 bugs or glitches.

My only quibbles would be that fishing should be explained better and it's often possible to lose track of the player character when there are a lot of effects/explosions/boons going on at once.
