My personal experience gets worse with every release. I enjoyed playing "Casual Breakthrough". Some bots, some real players, nothing too fancy going on. Attack or defend, let's go.

But with every patch, the bots either do ridiculous 360 noscopes or kill you behind a wall. On top of that, due to the mass exodus of players, the amount of "real players" not playing the objective, but camping as attackers or sitting 1m next to the capzone while the enemy takes it has just gotten too damn high.

Call me crazy or stupid, but BF6 used to be my cozy game - hence the 300+ hours. But at least the latter 80+ hours have gotten less and less enjoyable.

The bad:
- ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up DRM
- Fomo-crap events and skins
- Stupid real-world ads (Red Bull? Seriously?)
- Tons of ugly skins, however the cod-hellokittyfication takes a bit longer than in BF2042
- No proper server browser
- Portal is broken
- Bots stupid but aimgods at the same time
- Player-exodus: Most good players or the ones who played the objective have left the game -> every game mode is tdm for them...

If you want a more comprehensive list, check Battlenonsense on X / Twitter - he tears this game to shreds.

Guess I'll be reinstalling Battlefield 2 and the Singleplayer-Bots-Mod soonish and enjoy Strike at Karkand again, instead of playing this.

Only buy on deep, deep sale - or play BF2, BF3 or BF4 instead of this.

Finally got around to play this game and boy, is it a test of resilience. Still though, I enjoyed it. Not sure when I'll tackle the harder modes - but both the base game and the DLC Project_Hel have been an enjoyable ride.

Robocop 1987 meets Dredd 2012. Peter Weller is back. It looks neat, is fun and a surprising variety of areas to play in.

Also: Robocop petting a cat. 11/10.

Edit: Finished it in roughly 9 hours while constantly having a smile on my face. The ending feels a tad bit rushed, though. One big issue however was an almost game-breaking bug: I wasn't able to pick up enemy weapons at some point, not even a restart would fix it. This makes one mission where you don't have access to your default pistol unreasonably hard. A hotfix or patch should be coming soon, so either take your time or wait till it has been fixed. If you liked the first game, you'll very likely enjoy this standalone addon as well.

The fact that "crossplay" and the accompanying retroactive censoring changes are not implemented as a simple toggle (or a "free DLC" if it requires additional files on the disk) is more than just annoying.

Just to be clear: This is not about me wanting disturbing imagery at all cost. This is about things I saw hundreds of times in a product I already paid for being removed retroactively.

As if I paid for a rated 18+ bluray and someone snuck into my home late at night and replaced it with a dumbed down rated 16 or 12 version. Fun fact: I wouldn't be mad if someone gave me an ADDITIONAL bluray.

Just implement it as a simple option: Crossplay (and therefore the censorship) on / off. Boom. Done. Problem solved.

Important side note: The term "Review bombing" applies to attacking a product for a reason not at all tied to a product. This however directly affects MY BOUGHT COPY of the game. So it's plain and simply valid criticism from a paying customer.

Don't touch my copy of the game at all - or at least make it OPTIONAL - as in OPT-IN - and this issue turns into a nothing-burger.

Visually impressive, technically a solid PC port. 9/10

The writing on the other hand... has it's moments, but some writing decisions simply did not work for me. 4/10

Nonetheless, the gameplay itself is great and absolutely works.

6.5 / 10 - Get it on sale or play TLOU 1 and Days Gone again. ^^

Solid 4-5 hr campaign. Works like it is supposed to and captures the charm of the original.

I stumbled upon one easily fixable progress stopper: In the penultimate mission, you have to rescue (as in: carry) a scientist to along a corridor which is never explained to the player.

And there is one stupid game design decision: Levels that are story-wise directly connected make you lose your entire inventory. Which is a shame, because having the 44. Magnum with tons of ammo taken away just because you load into the next area sucks.

The AI is not the brightest, but fun enough for a quick romp and stomp.

Runs like a charm on my OG Steam Deck and plays just as I remembered. :)

In theory, this is a great game. I enjoyed the races. It's fun to play with a controller, on the Steam Deck and the Gamepad. 61 hours and I may continue to play and finish it.

BUT:
- Denuvo sucks.
- To play VR, you have to purchase it AGAIN on the Meta Quest Store (no multiplayer)
- To play on macOS, you have to purchase it AGAIN on Apple's Mac App Store (no multiplayer)

This game could have been amazing, if the Steam version would have had everything, including VR and a macOS Port.

I miss it when games were handled graciously like Dirt Rally, which got a native macOS port AND has VR support via Steam.

Still my favourite one of the entire franchise. The cheesiness, the missions, the music. I'm not even sure if I want a "smoothed out" 4k remaster of this. Just take it as it is and enjoy the ride. And remember the glory days of Westwood Studios.

This is not Star Citizen. This is not No Man's Sky. This is not Space Engineers.

This is Fallout 4 in Space. With some New Vegas-level side-quests and some mechanics borrowed from aforementioned games.

Exploration is more serviceable than deep. Modders for sure will figure a way out to make the entire surface of a planet walkable - but in the end, you are just supposed to visit every biome once and bring the survey to 100% - then go to the next planet. But you don't need it to make progress - it is just one of many ways to earn XP and unlock new skills, as well as earn some credits. Exploration really is just a side-activity and nothing more. So is Outpost-Building. So is Crafting. So are Dogfights in Space.

You can ignore these things most of the time and just do quest after quest and if that's your thing, you will have a good time. If you want to mix things up a bit, you play the game as its intended. If however you only want to get knee-deep into one single mechanic, you might hit the limit of what can be done after a few minutes or hours.

This game ticks all the boxes on the surface and boils its features down to an enjoyable minimum. And the reason it does this, is, because it is an RPG first. And a Space Game second. This is not a full-fledged simulation. Something that really needs to be understood when going into this game. Otherwise, you'll end up being bitter about all the things that you think are missing.

And yes, I wish this was a fully exploreable universe with loading screens only happening when fast-travelling. But it doesn't hurt the gameplay too much.

Is this the best video game ever made? No. But if it clicks for you, it will be worth the time and money.

Long story short: Expectation management is key with this game. For me, it's a solid 7/10 and will keep me entertained for probably another 100 hours or so. Trimming the fat worked for me, it will however not work for everyone.
