A lot of a persistent bad mood can come from where you choose to invest your time and emotional attachment. For instance, I spent a lot of my free time on a forum for my hobby a few years ago. I logged in at work (easy office job) and I had it open and active while I was home sitting on the couch, or laying in bed at night before sleep, and on weekends, etc. It turned into a really toxic place where pretty much the only thing to do was argue and beat people and get criticized. I thought I was enjoying it, because it was related to my hobby, and I was spending time with people who shared my interest, but in reality, it just always had me on edge, and ready to fight and argue and defend myself.

It might be worth examining where you're spending your emotional energy to see if you're being poisoned by something toxic without even realizing it.
