Howdy! I'm a rambunctious, semi-OCD, utterly dorkish, and perverted furry dude with an Arcanine as a fursona, who has been a part of the fandom for over two decades. I'm currently residing in the furthest Eastern point of Washington in the USA.
I've been gaming for nearly 30 years or as early as I could pick up a controller, and have played virtually every console under the sun, from the Ataris and Commodores of old to modern systems. I am an avid roleplayer, with immense interest in many TTRPGs (D&D 3.5E/5E, Pathfinder, etc.). I am known to be prone to spontaneous randomness/combustion at any opportunity.

I am bound via a shared mother-figure to my sibling Eli/Kat (Katatonic786). And am in a very healthy, supportive, loving, and wonderfully sarcastic relationship with an Umbreon named Shad (SilverAtlas/possum with a gun). Yay. <3

Terraria is a neat little gem. As with any other RPG, the freedom to do what you want knows no bounds. This game takes that statement a massive step further.

While at first the game can seem a little bit daunting and perhaps frustrating, Terraria really begins to open up as you advance. The equation of "risk = reward" brilliantly stands out, for if you dare to venture down into the caverns and dungeons below the surface, the loot to be discovered is fantastic.

With almost two weeks worth of gameplay put into it, Terraria has unveiled a fantastic adventure for me, which is saying much considering my anticipation for a $10 game was exceedingly low. Now I regret even thinking of such a statement. However, while I can throw hundreds of words of praise at it, there are some flaws, but for what it's worth, they can be easily ignored.

In short, Terraria is worth every cent for people who love to build, adventure, and prove to themselves that they're really a hero in the making.

[2020 Edit:]

I played this game back in its beta stages. If you haven't heard of this game by now, you've probably not been on the internet in the last five to eight years. Terraria has been ported to every sixth and seven-generation console, PC, Mac, tablet, phone, and practically every other piece of technology made since 2012, and for a good reason.

It is by far one of Steam's absolute magnum opuses and Re-Logic's masterpiece. The sheer amount of respect this game has received in its nearly decade-long existence is absolutely warranted. It is by leaps and bounds my favorite game in my library and on my computer. All of the content and love that has been put into this game shows, and it is incredibly bittersweet to finally see the book close, with their 1.4 update being their final, pushing this game to its penultimate completion. Ever since it's official release on May 16th, 2011, it has done nothing but grow.

Hundreds, hell, thousands upon thousands of hours of sheer enjoyment can be pulled from what Terraria has to offer. Explore, fight, excavate, collect, build, modify, it is practically endless what you can do with this game in terms of pure creativity. And multiplayer support is phenomenal. When I posted my original review clear back in 2011, I had only played two weeks and had fallen in love. Jump to practically nine years later, and this game still delivers every single time. Overwhelmingly positive doesn't even do it justice. Just...

Play this game. Between my PC, PS3, PS4, 360, XB1, 3DS, Wii U, Switch, and Android, I've easily dumped 5,000+ hours into it. I have and will always adore this game for the memories it has made for me and the experiences I've had with friends, family, and strangers alike. Plus, the sheer amount of community created content allows for nearly infinite replayability even after you've completed everything, that is, if you even manage to complete everything.

Buy this if you haven't. I intend on taking my friends on one more trip into Version 1.4, as I haven't touched it since 1.3 dropped, and I don't even need to say that I'll let you know how it goes. It's already going to be amazing, because it's always been amazing. And I'm just as excited to dive in once again, just like I was all those years ago.

Thank you Re-Logic for introducing one of my absolute favorite games of all time to me. <3
