What I Liked

1) The atmosphere
2) Bungie-style gunplay
3) The art style and music (I've been listening to the OST nonstop for the past three days lol.)

What I Hated

*) The amount of hate the game is receiving.

I won't compare Marathon to every other extraction shooter. Instead, I'll judge it based on what it brings to the table. If this type of game is your thing, you'll probably be surprised by the depth of its progression, combat, and overall gameplay

It's not the kind of game that holds your hand and teaches you everything. Instead, it encourages you to go out, experiment, and discover every item and mechanic on your own, which is something I really enjoy. The more I explored, the more I enjoyed each play session.

The only reason I refunded the game was the long queue times. Even so, the seven runs I managed to play were awesome. The combat against both other Runners and NPCs felt weighty, satisfying, and never hollow

I know Bungie can take this game to new heights. Until then, I'll keep thinking about the mysteries and depth of Tau Ceti
