Succubus Research Diary is a lewd visual novel about Serena’s run-in with a virgin succubus.

You have seven days to unlock one of three endings; by engaging in regular sexual intercourse, you’ll decide Serena and Nerisha’s fate. You may have sex up to twice a day, allowing Nerisha to collect “mana” from Serena’s body. By engaging in lots of sex, Serena will be able to provide more mana (granting access to more sex every day!) Sex positions “level up” each time you use them, granting access new positions as prerequisites are met. It makes no difference which positions you choose when collecting mana. However, one ending is tied to a specific form of sexual interaction. If you don’t choose to ♥♥♥♥ twice a day, you have the option to learn more about Nerisha and her family, and further character development. The ending is strictly based on sex, so you don’t have to stress about anything else! Beyond the mana and sex system, Succubus Research Diary is a standard visual novel with multiple choices.

There are seventy five sex-scenes using fifteen base, sexual CGs with variations for progression and climax. There are additional nude CGs throughout the game, but they are not used in sexual context. I loved the friendly banter between the protagonists as they lose themselves. The main protagonists are a middle aged mother with a thing for “young girls” and a submissive virgin succubus. It’s an interesting take on a succubus character; typically, they are depicted as hypnotizing and dominant, but in this story Nerisha is a slave to Serena’s overwhelming sluttiness. The game is packed with consensual lesbian romance. There is a ton of kissing throughout the story, including several sex-scenes dedicated to tongue-on-tongue action. There’s fingering, scissoring and licking — but there’s also some futa content, where Nerisha sprouts a dainty wiener and pumps her companion full of ♥♥♥. I thoroughly enjoyed the models, but I wish the backgrounds made a little more sense. While sex-scenes are depicted atop Nerisha’s bed (in the foreground), her bed is also visible as a background prop before and after sex. Then again, I wouldn’t put it past her to have extra beds. . .

I’m glad Arcus Plume sent me a copy of this game, I had a lot of fun! If you’re interested in wholesome, lesbian sex or a creative twist on the succubus trope, you’ll enjoy Succubus Research Diary. Notably, there is optional futa content with magical creampies! This game is loaded with sex-scenes and lore; exposition and world building are at least a third of the reading, which may put off some readers. I think this game is an improvement over Arcus Plume‘s previous offering, Lily’s Handmaid, in terms of sexual content. If you’re interested in character development, the aforementioned title does a better job (at the expense of consistent sex-scenes). If you’re interested in the world Arcus Plume has crafted, you’ll love the “research” Serena conducts (when she’s not too busy rocking Nerisha’s world!) I found the character development in Succubus Research Diary difficult to swallow, but it didn’t affect my enjoyment too much. As long as you can get over “love at first sight”, I think you’ll enjoy this game as much as I did.
