- Add file and folder exceptions to windows antivirus
- Explicitly allow Forza 4 in firewall
- Disable Windows Defender firewall
- Turn off all potentially conflicting applications
- Reset Microsoft store
- Reinstall Microsoft store
- Run sfc /scannow
- Disable Windows development mode
- Reinstall graphics driver after Windows update
- Synchronise clock
- Enable UPnP in router
- Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++
- Forward NAT ports
- Force start all Xbox related Windows services
- Allow all Xbox services to interact with desktop
Even though it didn't work for me, I recommend you trying items from this list, something might work for you.
Some people reported success when changing windows user to the one that has username with Latin-only characters and adding Forza folder to exceptions in BitDefender antivirus.
- Restart PC
- Update graphics driver
- Disable Steam overlay
- Turn on Xbox game bar
- Disable/Enable windows game mode
- Validate game files
- Delete some files and validate game files
- Run the executable directly
- Run the executable directly as administator
- Run Steam as administrator
- Run the executable in compatability mode
- Log into Xbox Microsoft app
- Change power settings to "High Performance"
- Delete old Forza appdata files
- Update current Windows version the latest build
- Upgrade Windows to newest 20H2 version
- Update newest 20H2 version to the latest build
- Delete Microsoft Edge shortcut from desktop after updating Windows
- Log into Windows with a new local user
- Log into Windows with a new Microsoft user
