I am about a year late with my review. What can I say at this point? Fantastic game that I have over 150 hours in on PC, PS4 and XBOne just to play with my friends.

Pre-Level 30 Story Mode - A little weak. Great voice acting and promising story, but too choppy to really understand what is happening. The story mode is basically a warm up to get to End Game content.

Post-Level 30 - Amazing. Enough can't be said how well this is done for both PVE and PVP.

Devs are still creating content and redesiging gear score to keep the game challening and fresh.

BLUF:

I would like to be able to recommend this game for entertainment value, but I I cannot at this time. I would highly recommend an INTERNAL ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSEMENT by the development/publishing company (Gun Media) if their goal is to achieve ongoing success.

I have played this game for many hours and have found it to be very entertaining and enjoyable with friends. When it was first released, it was very buggy. I initially thought it was an early access game, but that appears to be the norm these days.

What I HAVE NOT been impressed with is the LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM demonstrated by the game developers. They have spoken directly to their customers in public forums. They have used questionable judgement at best in areas of prioritizing fixes to their product, communication with the public, roller coaster rules/laws implementations and poor decision making in banning their customers who paid for their product.

I would recommend GUN MEDIA perform an internal assessment and make organizational changes as needed. Now that they have made their money off of the game, they can afford to structure their company to better interface with their customer base as well as manage their development department. They need to bring in outside hires to structure the company and bring leadership and management experience in these areas.

An outside hire with little to no technical experience, but a proven track history of leadership and management skills to manage the development team/department would facilitate productivity and prevent further public relation debacles. It would be beneficial to hire a PR person to interface with the public and funnel all communications through this person. Your customers fund your company. Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

You cannot deny the talent and work ethic that the developers put into this game. It is very impressive. Developers are creative and genuises in their field, but you DO NOT want these type of people making company decisions.

I am really pulling for this company and would love to see it succeed. Do not fail due to poor internal decisions and when you are creating a quality product. You control your own destiny. Do not let pride, ego and personal relationships cloud your judgement when making business decisions.

Great game. It has a great story and fun gameplay. The Co-op gets a little redundant. Well done. You will not regret buying this game.

It is only a very brief sneak peak. I am really anxious for this to be released after viewing this demo.

The redesign of the interface does not live up to the bar set by the SNES, but still a great game. I was hoping for more updated graphics and sounds.

This is still THE BEST game ever created!

This may be the best Co-op game ever made. The sequel was great, but the story and variety of environments make this game the superior. The replay value is extremely high and the General Knoxx DLC is amazing.

This is by far one of the games that I have played in VR. It is a great Co-op game. I am not a locomotion guy, but the game offers to use both. The puzzles are fun and the environments are immersive. With the limited number of quality games available, I wish there were more games available with this type of quality.

First of all, how do graphics on an arcade from the 1980s look better than this game running on a PC?

The menu is very sluggish, the music (Best part of Double Dragon) is not duplicated well and it crashed on me several times.

My expections were not that high for a game that is 30 years old. I expected at least a simliar port.

Early Access Review
This game is very well designed. Even though it is wave based (which is being beat to death in VR), it has other elements to make it fun. The unlocking system adds characters, weapons and abilities. The ability to play COOP with a friend is so much fun. At times you feel like your partner is in the room wtih you. The area designs are great, but the images can be very grainy unless you are looking directly at eye level at objects or print. I have trouble reading any signs or writing that is small or not at eye level.

The game is early access, so it is not complete and clearly needs work. The price tag for the early access hopefully means that we will be giving us a final product.

The replay value is diminishing without level updates.
