Instead of ranting and complain, you could try one of the following options.

Chamber hes swing. (Requires some luck and skill)
In some cases Duck n cover (Depends on the animation of hes swing to work)
Dogde it. (Requires a certain skill from the skill tree)
Block it. (Right click in time)
Stay out of range using light armor and footwor
