do not, i repeat, DO NOT walk into this game expecting another batman arkham clone. this game is best experienced if you treat it as its own entity.

with that being said, it is a pretty solid bat-family experience. fans of these characters (like my nightwing-loving self) will definitely be satisfied with their portrayal in the game. maybe not jason todd fans though, he is ugly asf. thank god for the mask.

surprisingly, i found myself enjoying the side missions (villain case files) a lot more than the main story because they feature the villains who are actually fun and interesting. the campaign's story felt kind of rushed. when i finished the game, i just kind of went, "oh? that's it?" a few more hours added to the main campaign and better writing could've helped.

it's a fun game but definitely could have benefited from some more time in the oven. i suggest picking the game up on sale if you want to try it out.
