Hi everyone, sorry for the belated response, we have this fixed in our internal QA version, it should be out this week and should fix this problem for everyone.

All these quest lines broke for me at some point:

Expanding the Base: Shows my Overseer tag in the HUD in the middle of space, not even in the system my Overseer is actually in. Talking to him does nothing.

Scientific/Weapons Research: Even if I look right onto my Scientist, the quest says it's in another system. But no quest icon shows up in the teleporter, nor in the world anywhere. Talking to the specialists does nothing.

I'm afraid to even start the Agricultural Research line at this point. =/

This is probably related to the same bug that brakes the Base Computer Archives quest. I had to fiddle a lot with building bases in random systems and removing my fleet from them because the quest thought my base was somewhere it never had been before. =/
Your assumption is correct, to play with another person on the same machine all you do is pass control between them.

In fact since this is a a complete-information game in multiplayer you can even take turns controlling all divisions while discussing your strategies. (One player controls the game each round for example).

Hello Commanders,

First of all, let me apologize for the (very) long radio silence since our last announcement.
As previously mentioned we have a very small development team here at CMON and we’ve been hard at work to bring you the Dreadmire expansion and many other improvements; we’ve unfortunately fallen behind on our intended release schedule, but rest assured we are almost there.

Being a small team presents many challenges but most definitely the worst of them is keeping up with quality assurance, community management and customer support.

On that front, we have terrific news: We are partnering with Asmodee Digital[www.asmodee-digital.com] to publish our game, which means they’ll assist us greatly in those exact areas we are most deficient. That way our coders can focus on doing what they do best: squashing bugs and implementing new features!

In fact, starting right now, you can start using their Helpshift platform to report bugs and issues, you can do so by going here.[asmodee.helpshift.com] As usual, please try to include as much information about your game state as possible: such as the composition of your deck and the enemies you faced in combat.

We are currently going through the QA process with Asmodee and once that’s done version 2.0 will be ready for your consumption.

I sincerely hope you’ve been practicing Commanders, because the Dreadmire is a ruthless place.

About the freezes, we are currently working on version 2.0, which will include the Dreadmire expansion along with a slew of fixes and improvements.

And if you could please give us some examples of effects that aren't triggering the Shrieker and/or Bomber it would help tracking them down, if possible please send us an email at xeno_app@cmon.com.

Actually, the rules for Grafting and Psychogenics have been revised since the first edition and you cannot have multiples of them equipped anymore.
Yup, all platforms should receive the update at the same time actually.
Of course, considering we are working on Dreadmire as I type, I'd say there's a pretty big chance! ;)

I'm afraid I can't give a definitive answer to this, but at the time it is unlikely.

We have added keyboard shortcuts to also zoom in/out the board for the next version (1.8).

The options screen will be the same both in-game and out starting with version 1.8 (coming soon!) and we'll increase the speed factor of the zoom slider for version 1.8 as well!

Oh, and that combat animation can be turned off if it annoys you. :)
