Sorry for the delay! Yes I did eventually, after I "upgraded" to Windows 8. The game never worked under Win7. But it was very stable for me, no issue at all. But I stopped playing after some time because I didn't have enough time for such a huge RPG.

I know it's an old question, but did you manage to play Fallout 3 in the end? Mine would freeze out of the blue in different places, sometimes I would play for a while without freezing, sometimes it would freeze as soon as I started playing. But only after leaving the bunker. I ended up losing my interest.
