Interestingly, The Wildcards is a sort of DLC that adds content you were either clamoring for or don't care much for in the first place since it doesn't necessarily fit into your character build/party composition. Let's keep this preamble short and dive in.

You see her in the prologue bit, but Tiefling Kaessi approaches you properly after you've claimed the Stolen Lands as your barony. She has a proposition for you involving the recovery of a certain artifact, and it involves just the two of you going through a dungeon to confirm the rumors. Upon completion, you not only find a sort-of solution for her unique "problem," but also get yourself TWO characters for the price of one with everything that entails, down to making her a potential advisor for your council.

Tiefling? Yeah, The Wildcards adds a new race with a much maligned reputation both in-universe and among the player base. I would personally say adding a new class with the Kineticist is a far bigger deal, though. Think of them as ranged channelers who get to pick from four elements to focus on but also enjoy rather extensive freedom in how to go about their builds. You can also play dangerously and generate Burn, which inflicts damage on your character to gain benefits. It's probably one of the more complex classes in that you need to have a clear-cut vision for what kind of character concept you have in mind. Even more so than in Pathfinder: Kingmaker in general.

On the final note, I suppose it's a good thing you're getting a brand new class and pair of character(s) because the actual dungeon content was very disappointing, and I finished it in under 30 minutes. The fact that the protagonist and Kaessi go at it all on their lonesome could be a nasty surprise if you didn't build a character decently or don't have an animal companion to use as a distraction, though. Despite some border limitations, I would encourage going for it as early as possible since you can always use more roster variety.
