Early Access Review
Early Access isn't an excuse to ignore the shortcomings of the game, that's the entire point of Early Access. It is to iron out these flaws and rough edges to get it to the best state it can be for 1.0 and beyond
Since when is knowing that Moon Studios can do better a bad thing to point out.

Was shown this video that covers all of my gameplay related issues but is worded in a better manner:
Even the CEO has come in and replied to the video thanking the uploader for the feedback
(The uploader also left a pinned comment stating that their issues have also been resolved as of Hotfix #4)

While I haven't had the time to sit down and play, from the start, the update myself (As I do want to see just how many of my issues have been resolved) I will go through with my promise and change this review to a positive one.

As far as I've come to understand things the CEO has realized the issues of releasing an update in the state that The Breach did and has vowed to do better in future updates.

-and as far as I've come to witness, he is following through and taking greater care in releasing each update rather than rush to get some last-minute changes in without properly testing them.

Yes, I get it, Early Access will mean there will be issues and that much is obvious to anyone that actively plays these kinds of games.

The problem I have with that mentality is that it's an excuse, a shield even, to hide behind and wave off any valid criticism that may be had.

The more things are hand-waved away as EA woes the more it allows the quality to drop in the end or worse-yet leave issues to fester down the line and making it more difficult to correct at that later point.

Making what would otherwise be an easy fix to do early on become a nightmare to correct later, it's happened to quite a lot of Early Access games and this was one of those that I wasn't wanting to have that be its fate.

From what I've read in Hotfix #4, Patch 1, and Hotfix #5 almost all my issues have been resolved with the game and then-some. (With others that haven't been mentioned being, hopefully, issues with my specific game instillation which I've since done a full re-install of the game)

I look forward to anything else that may come for the game down the line, but I'm never going to let up on pointing out any grievance that I have with the game because I truly and fully want this game to succeed in the end.

As my other iterations of this review pointed out: Even the CEO admitted, and apologized, for the state that The Breach released in and has agreed with many of the issues that players were pointing out was an issue with the game.

Which, as I've also mentioned, was my starting point for the game so my experienced was highly soured with my first steps because of how rough the experience was from performance to gameplay.

Here's to that restart on my playthrough going a lot smoother than the first time around.

That's fine for you to believe, My first experiences with NRftW was with The Breach update and that soured how I felt about the game during my first hours. As I hadn't played prior to this update I didn't have a frame of reference to work with.

But yea best I can write out is that I do very well intend on revisiting not just the game but this review in its entirety once either Hotfix 4 or Patch 1 comes around, whichever one lines up with me diving back in.

Can also write out that I'm honestly, genuinely, looking forward to what I've seen in Patch 1 and from what I'm aware of it's not even everything to come so it's looking like I will leave a positive review in the end here.

(I've done a full manual re-install of the game here too so here's to that clearing all the issues if they were specific to my system for w/e reason.)

I don't believe you operate in good faith.

Thank you for this, yea as it's mentioned in the video Steam Reviews can and do often act as a "Pressure Valve" of sorts to have people's voices heard when it comes to the problems they're having. I didn't list my issues in detail at first because my review is not for bug reporting, but it is a place to let others know that these kinds of issues are happening.

The constant glazing is not how we get good games, issues have to be called and ironed out and questionable design decisions do need to be scrutinized, especially in cases where a better system could be the end result.

Early Access is THE PERFECT time to have all of the core issues taken care of, sure not every issue could be resolved because they're a part of the Foundational work but it's still the case that MOST of it can be.

I didn't allude anything of the sort and even called it all out as being false and misinformation, I stated as much that they're in the wrong and even made comments that you can look down below yourself that I do not in any way agree with any of them and to add I find the entire situation vile as can be.

At no point have I, nor will I, agree with what they were doing. Seriously, my review was done independent of all of this happening and I genuinely had zero idea what was going on nor why I was getting dog-pilled until someone told me about those moronic articles that were made by people that have nothing going for them in life.

I despise Culture Wars because all it ends up doing is cause people to argue in circles with no end to the idiocy, that's why I added the note to look into things yourself and come to your own conclusions instead of just believing someone online (Myself obviously included)

I seriously dunno' how much more clear I have to make this.

You claim to not care, but you try to allude the activist financial terrorists(journalists) are in the right. That makes you sir, a loser.

I get ya Zeks and im not saying your review is wrong. its just the title of your review is what really puts a frown on some of our faces. It one of the very reasons how games with potential end up dieing all because not enough ppl gived it a try to give honest feedback, positive or negative. People come to the reviews see that and look away with out even digging deeper into whats going on in the game for them to decide if its worth it or not.

Yea as I mentioned in other parts of the comments section people are pretending like I'm not going to ever change this review to a positive once the issues are fixed, and yea saw as well that apparently at the time there were people leaving blank negative reviews to try and review bomb the game. I genuinely despise that being done and was confused why people were so up at arms about my review until I learned about all of that. (There was as well as dumb article that was written up at the time too which I don't agree with in the slightest about

I know there's a fourth hotfix in the works as well and I hope it fixes the issues I am having with the game as I've said time and again I want this game to succeed but I'm not going to pretend it's perfect yet either.

Heres the main issue with Steam Reviews. People can review bomb (not saying that what happening here) and people can leave negative reviews of a game that trying to do their best to provide. Those Negative reviews stays here permanently for everyone to see even if that problem doesn't exist anymore, even if the devs answered and listen to our concerns. And We all see that here and lean hard on those reviews not knowing that problem we read is non existent. So that why we need to be careful with our voice and be honest with it.
