Dota is bascially a broken game and the devs fail to fix the main problem.

If you random match you basically get whatever random players on your team that know or don't know how to play together. Which basically lends itself to uneven steamrolls.

So Ranked Matchmaking (Solo).
Playing with other people in your skill bracket....

Completely broken. Players are awarded or penalized points based on if their team wins/loses.

The problem is is that it is random and you can have the best game of your life, while another player completely feeds the other team and YOU lose MMR points.
This places you in a lower bracket. At which point you play with players who are worse and you've got a better chance of losing more MMR, thus being placed even lower.

That might work if you chose who you play with. But THAT is TEAM MMR. And as the name implies that reflects on your TEAM MMR points.

If you are in Solo Matchmaking you have absolutely no control or sway over random players on the other side of the internet. You can beg and plead with them to stop playing badly, but you have no control at all.
Then you get dragged down into worse and worse games and the game starts to completely blow.

Dota2 is becaoming very VERY unfun. I try my best to play well but bad players keep ruing game after game whci hdrags me down more and more.
I haven't had a good even, tense well matched game for a month and at this rate I doubt I will ever again.

Steam roll after steamroll or late game givaways are common in low mmr and it's just getting worse.

It was worth $10, $25? I dunno.

As for 400 days (can't find a post review link).

meh. So far fairly unimpressed. 5 characters split into very short segments. Just when the first was getting interesting it was over.

Descriptions says 'See the apocolypse from 5 different views'. Moar like be introduced to 5 characters and left walking...

Of course at $1.25 on sale, basically free since the xmas trading cards payed for it.

But $5, would've been unhappy.
