Update 12/26/25: Finished the game. Ultimately still disappointed with some of the choices made by Deck Nine, but not as bad of a game as I previously stated. Some decent setup for a possibly sequel, hopefully that addresses some of the issues folks (myself included) had with this game. I'll flip it to recommended at this point though, still found Max to be a solid main character and the supporting cast to be pretty decent as well!

Original review: Truly unhappy with the narrative direction in this game. Would have been fine with the developers choosing to take the game in one direction or the other based on endings from the first game, but what they've done in an effort to kill choices made in the first game has left me not interested in continuing to play. Extremely disrespectful to the source material and to the fans. If I could refund, I would.
