Having binged on this game for about the last week I can safely say this game is a lot of fun on both iOS and on pc.
Being no casual to the MOBA world with nearly 1,500 hours in dota and 200 in league, I would also like to point out this is NOT to be compared to the other games mentioned. This game is solely a fun, quick, and casual game. Do not expect to get an in depth hardcore MOBA. So for review purposes here are some pros for Solstice Arena: small to medium learning curve, quick games that are action filled(barely go past 15 minutes max), surprisingly plays WELL on iOS.(playing on older iOS devices and/or iPhones is somewhat laggy and crashes sometimes. Best played on iPad.) Here are some cons: small community; I've literally ran into the same 3 stacks 2-3 games in a row, games only allow 3v3(bad if you have more than 3 friends that want to play.), heroes can feel very imbalanced because of the leveling mechanic where your hero grows stronger the longer you play them. There isn't a chat system integrated into the game which is understandable considering this was initially an iOS game. I personally enjoy this game and I think the reason I continue to play it is because of the unique mechanics it offers. Some examples of this can be the fact there is no last hitting, the power ups on the field, Tower deactivation, the chest in mid field, and the 3 unique skills each hero has. I would totally recommend this game to anyone and would try to keep an open mind when playing!
