I've been playing VRising as a Single Player game exclusively.

It's a wonderfully designed game, that weaves the vibes and fantasies of being a vampire lord seamelsly into gameplay-mechanics. Between blood-drinking, sun-burning, garlic-and silver resistance, somehow a lot of aspects of vampirism that could have easily become annoying nuissances have been turned into interesting gameplay aspects with stakes, downsides, upsides, rewards and punishments that don't feel out-of-touch.

The progression is very intuitive and linear, which is both amazing and a downside at the same time. The game is split up into acts during which you are encouraged to explore new areas, to fight more bosses, unlock more materials and ultimately also more mechanics. While each act offers substantial new gameplay mechanics, the core changes quite little, and to some may become stale. My current playthrough is about 30ish hours in, and the one I have played the furthers into the game, and I am finding myself mentally exploring the thought of playing other games, which isn't a good sign for my ambition of actually beating this game's final boss.

It has to be said that the game is being actively updated and has received AMAZING free content patches, that have improved really large aspects of the game, such as the building mechanics for your own really rad vampire mansion, significantly!

Overall, a strong reccommend, for its sense of style, immaculate game design choices, interesting mechanics and overall feel of polish and intent.
