Essentially Peace Walker on steroids. More customization and variety, as well as a lot of side missions which do get pretty repetitive, but having part of the ending, of all things, cut from the game and leaving things unanswered is a pretty big let down, especially for a story-heavy franchise. Adding to that, the story is pretty ridiculous as it is, even by MGS standards.

It's definitely one of the best games to have come out recently and lasts longer than them as well, but Snake Eater's still the best.

The game basically plays like a mix between Asaassin's creed (jumping off buildings to kill people, stealth and freerunning) and the Arkham games (combat, controls, enemy types, detetctive mode) with some new things like the nemesis and captain system, which makes it a step up from any of those games.

The story is very short, if you get the hang of killing enemies, but you can easily get sidetracked with side missions, collectibles and managing the enemy army if you're a completionist. The side missions do reward you with better abilitiees but you can quite easily clear the game without them.

It gets kinda bad towards the ending, where you get to fight against the more elite enemies. It's pretty disappointing when you're charging towards the final boss, expecting a huge battle, and you get stopped by about 10 guys - 5 of those being captains, when you have 20 and your guys kill them for you pretty quickly. The final boss is a QTE stage only.
There are parts in the game where you could have 70 enemies on you if you let them set off the alarm.

If you're going to get this game, I'd suggest waiting for the price to drop, unless you want those abilities you won't really need to use in the freeroam. It starts off strong and gets bad towards the end.

This was a great game in beta and even better now that it's fully released. It may take a little while to get into but there's plenty plenty of exploring, missions, ships, weapons and upgrades and also Workshop support.
I haven't looked into the campaign much since the freeroam mode interested me more, but it seems to just be freeroam with story missions.

The freeroam missions are a little samey after a while but there's enough variety of mission types for you to choose to be a pacifist or a full on fighter.
Would recommend this if you like open world space sims, with factions and a good variety of ship classes and ships.

Kinda like Plants Vs Zombies, but with Space Marines and Orkz, which is kinda weird when you look at the rest of the games in the franchise. It's definitely not on the same scale as the Dawn of War games but it's a nice little game to pass the time and hopefully other factions are added into the final game.

Great game. In many ways it feels similar to The Stanley Parable, except here you have multiple levels, all of which have a bunch of stuff to see and do. While you do have a general objective for each stage, you aren't forced into carrying them out, you can just explore the stage and do whatever.
The humour in this game is what makes it worth playing, it uses a lot of references to technology and gaming in general.

The only bad thing I can say about this game is that it's pretty short, but if you go and explore the levels fully (Which you'll want to do) it's not so bad.

Imagine something like IWBTG mixed with any Mario platformer and you pretty much have this game. Except you can die before even starting a stage or using the world map.
Probably not worth buying if you get angry at games easily
