Yes, the performance could be better. But so far that is the only drawback. It improves so much on the first game.

The mixed reviews are not valid concerning the gameplay itself. So many good decisions and improvements from the first game and it feels way smarter.

Looking forward to spend countless hours in this.

I think a lot of people take this game for granted.
This game brings so much to the table, but yes, I can somewhat see the criticism of a game that is very wide but shallow.
This game is being compared with Skyrim, Fallout 4, Baldur's Gate 3, No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen to name a few. Why so many? Because it is literally impossible to compare it to any one game.

In terms of content, it is one of a kind, and it perfectly scratches my itch.

Do not buy yet, not a complete game.

UPDATE:
The new maps are actually really good, even so compared across all Battlefield games.
However, everything else about the game is still so disappointing...

The new maps are so good in fact that you start to think that the old maps maybe are not so bad after all. But then you play them again and realise that no, the old maps are bad, like, really, really, really terribly bad.

Essential VR game to get, mods are recommended to extend the game's standard selection of songs.
But it's nice to see there are finally DLCs released aswell to have more awesomeness to experience. :D
