Hey folks, my name's Nicolas, but I go by MCS on the internet these days. I'm in my 20s and am from the US.

Well, I made a name for myself over on the MarioWiki community many years ago but have since left that community, branched out from Mario games and broadened my horizons a bit. I joined Steam back in the second half of 2011 mainly for communication purposes, but then the summer sale of 2012 came along, and then 2013's summer sale, and before I knew it I had 100 games. Fun! I really have come to love Steam in all seriousness, though, and even though I might not have joined with the intention of becoming a PC gamer, I'm glad I have, as I've played some great games and met wonderful people in the process.

I have a passion for music and greatly enjoy music games such as Audiosurf and Rock Band. My music tastes are eclectic as all hell - don't expect me to give you a straight answer if you ask me my favorite song or favorite artist. I've never been able to answer those questions because I listen to so many different types of music, and I can't really pick a solid "favorite" of all time. There's simply too much to sift through and be crowned that "favorite" position. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

Anyways, Audiosurf was one of the first games I got on Steam - I played it on and off for a while until making a solid return to it in mid-2014. I played it consistently for well over 5 years, then made the move to Audiosurf 2 in late 2019. Besides the Audiosurf games, though, I can be a bit spotty with the other games I play. Sometimes I'll get those "urges" to play certain games, and other times I'll tackle a game head-on until I finish everything in it. I love achievement hunting, so that plays a big role in my gaming when the games I play have achievements.

I'm a pretty reserved person in real life, but I feel like having online friends has really helped me, as they're kind of what I survive on. With that said, however, I normally don't accept friend requests from strangers - if I don't know you, I may ask who you are before adding you - but I'm open to meeting new people sometimes, so I will make exceptions occasionally. :)
