The game and the new update are just great. Some games don't age well but in my opinion Empire at War did.
It does lack some depth when it comes to planet management but I could live without it.
Another thing that bothers me is the length of land battles in comparison to space battles. I've had land battles which take over 1 hour which is simply ridiculous.
In the future I'd love to see some more love for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (which I doubt, since EA's BF2 and BF3 need to come out and die first) and Republic Commando.

PS: I've played the game mostly on the DRM-free version, so my Steam playtime is rather short.
